Lampang Annual Elephant Khantoke Fair & Sankampaeng Handicrafts Festival, Lampang

Every year the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre at Lampang organizes and arranges a Khantoke for elephant fair. The income will be used as the food for elephant fund and for Elephant Conservation projects. The event is the world's biggest /khantoke for elephant, including Khantoke dinner, and spectacular Khantoke procession.

Chiangmai's Annual Flower Carnival, Chiang Mai.

The North is noted for its rich variety of flowering plants, particularly temperate-zone specimens which are at their best during this cool month. Spectacular florat floats are a memorable feature of this annual event held in Chiang Mai, together with displays of flowers, handicraft sales, and beauty contests.

King Narai the Great Reign Fair, Lop Buri.

In honour of King Narai the Great of Ayutthaya and his promotion of relations with European powers during the mid 1600's, his palace is the centre of a local fair featuring homage ceremonies, processions, light & sound shows, folk entertainment and bazars.

KING RAMA II MEMORIAL PARK FAIR, February,

King Buddhalertla Napalai Memorial Park, Samut Songkhram

The fair celebrates the memory of Thailand's Poet King Rama II (reign: 1809-1824) with artistic, culinary and handicraft, horticultural exhibitions and contest, and traditional Thai musical and theatrical performances, including dances, puppet shows and burlesque, in the riverine park’s bucolic setting.

18th International Straw Bird Festival, February 1 - 7, 2005, Chai Nat.

This annual fair is organized by making good use of straw, a by-product in rice farming. Various species of huge straw birds will come perching on elaborately decorated floats during the straw bird procession slated for early February of each year. After the competition, all straw birds will be displayed in front of the Chai Nat City Hall. Local products and agricultural crops will also be available in the fair.

CHINESE NEW YEAR AND DRAGON & LION PARADE,

Nakhon Sawan Municipality, Nakhon Sawan

This festival is held every year by local residents of Chinese descent to honour the Golden Dragon deity for his benevolence. A colourful costumed procession makes its way through the streets of the provincial capital with marching bands, lion and dragon dances from five nations, and figures of venerated deities. A light & sound presentation completes the celebrations.

THAI WEDDING AMAZING YEAR 2005, February 14 - 16, 2005, Trang

Bangkok 2001 is an Amazing Thailand Year when the nation opens it doors to welcome guests from near and far. Therefore, it is an auspicious occasion for tourists who would like to get married in beautiful and classic Thai ways. A grand wedding party of 2001 couples will be organised in the year on the day of love. Newly- weds will be able to participate in various specially organized activities.

Chao Mae Lim Ko Niao Fair, 20 February - 1 March 2005, Amphoe Muang, Pattani

Chao Mae Lim Ko Niao, a deity believed to be endowed with powerful magic is highly respected in the south of Thailand. Each year, a fair is held to pay homage to her, which also includes ascetics performing extraordinary feats of endurance. There is also a joyous procession of devotees through the streets of this southern city.

Phra Nakhon Khiri Fair, Phetchaburi.

The Old city of Phetchaburi, some two hours southwest of Bangkok, is overlooked by Phra Nakhon Khiri (City on the Mount), a hill on which are located a number of religious structures and a nineteenth-century palace. A light and sound presentation celebrating local history is one of the attractions of the popular fair.
