Updates.....
I don't reallly even know where to begin. I don't feel like I can even call this an update, when I get around to it once every 2 or 3 years. Well, the biggest change since my last update; I live in Japan. I live in a small town called Ujiie, in Tochigi prefecture, about 2 hours north east of Tokyo. You are not likely to find this town on your map. Look for Utsunomiya, the prefectural capital, and then imagine a rice paddy about 20 mins north. This is my life. I teach English to elementary school students. They are cute, smart, funny and super genki, and for this I adore them.
I have been here since July 2000, and I will return to Canada in July/August 2002. These past two years, have allowed me to learn so much about Japan, about myself, what is important to me and what I want in life. Japan is a land full of contrasts and formalities, and overflowing with culture and tradition. This combination makes living here both interesting and difficult at different times.
