About Us

| Founded in 1953, BROS is affiliated with the American Orchid Society. We meet in Roanoke, Virginia, but our membership spans central and southwestern Virginia and eastern West Virginia. |
| We meet at 12:30 P.M. on the second Sunday of each month except July and August. Visitors are welcome, there is a Mini Orchid Show, and pot luck lunch served at each meeting. |
| In addition to the regular monthly metings there are:
A Yealy orchid auction from members collections, vendors, and specially purchased plants
An orchid show every 18 months
A monthly newsletter filled with growing tips, news, articles, and items of interest to orchid growers in the area |
| The purpose of the Blue Ridge Orchid Society is to bring together persons interested in orchids; to promote the growth and display of finer orchids, and the study of methods of culture, hybridization and propagation. |
