Advice comes from many sources, most with the best intentions of improving your system, but not all doing what they claim. I have seen more than my share of tips and tricks, some that work, some that don't.

As a computer service technician, many of the systems that come through service are in need of some fine-tuning or general system maintenance to obtain their peak performance.

Knowing that these units could be performing better, has prompted me to publish this list of tips and tricks.

In this page I have simply put together information from a variety of sources (computer magazines, books, and personal experience) that will peak your systems performance, and enhance your personal computer expertise.

For experienced users, some of these tips are going to seem old-hat and a waste of time, but remember we all had to start somewhere on the learning curve. Hopefully, there will be something of interest for all levels of experience.

This is not meant to be an all-inclusive list, but as place to locate tips to improve your systems performance and perhaps learn some helpful tricks.

This list is updated as often as possible. Check back regularly for new information.
