Video

Generally speaking, the lower the resolution you run Windows, the faster the system will perform. Running Windows at standard VGA resolution (640X480 - 16 Colors) will give you the quickest performance.

Trying different video drivers may also increase the systems performance.

To change drivers, click on the Windows Setup icon in the Main folder of Program Manager. Click on Options, then click Cange Settings.

A window will appear which shows your current drivers for Video, Mouse, Keyboard, and Networking.

To try a different video driver, click on the down-arrow next to the current video setting and select one of the drivers from the list. If the driver was previously installed, Windows will ask if you want to use the current driver. Answer 'Yes'. Otherwise, Windows will prompt you for the disk(s) it needs to load the new driver. These may be the Windows installation disks, or a disk from the manufacturer. If you get here and don't have the disk(s), click the Cancel button to abort the change.

Be aware that if you select an incompatible driver for the hardware you have (video card & monitor) you may not be able to see anything when you re-boot your system... So be sure you have selected a Windows standard driver, or one that is compatible with your hardware.
