 Affymetrix is the biotech firm that invented the GeneChip System which can process as many as 15,000 gene probes per  Gene Probe Array and 4 such Arrays per Fluidic Station for hybridization in which the probes bind to particular GeneArray sites.  A Hewlett-Packard GeneArray Scanner then reads the information bound to the GeneAray and GeneChip software analyses it.
