In his 21st season at the school, wrestling coach Neil Buckley registers his 300th career victory at the school, against just 34 losses. Coach Buckley's teams were 89-0 in league competition.

Football team runs it's unbeaten streak to 19 games and wins the Inter-Ac title.

Soccer team also wins the Inter-Ac with a 8-0-2 league record; 12-1-3 overall.

Mr. Kingham retires as assistant headmaster and dean of students.

Mr. W. Boulton Dixon, Head of Middle School leaves Haverford, where he has taught since 1966, to become Head of Columbus Academy in Ohio. He is succeeded by Mr. George Miller.

An appreciation is given to Larnie Keith for his dedicated service to the school's maintenance department.

1979
Mr. Buckley's wrestlers win for a 400th time.

The new kindergarten is named for Mrs. Winifred Howland, who retired in June.

September 8th, the $750,000 Severinghaus Library is dedicated; Mr. Severinghaus gives the address.

Plans for a new arts center are announced. Projected costs are to be between 2.2 and 2.8 million dollars.

The Board of Directors announces the selection of Mr. W. Boulton Dixon as the sixth headmaster.

The Board of Directors announces the selection of Mrs. Nancy Kelly, the first woman to be named to an administrative post in the school's 104 year history

The new gym is named in honor of Mr. Parker.

1988
Mr. Neil Buckley, in his 42nd year of teaching, wins his 30th Inter-Ac title.

Soccer team tallies 200th victory under coach Joseph Tatta.

Crew team captures national title for 25th year in a row.
