A range of seven safes with varying storage capacities is available to meet virtually every need. From a size 26 safe for small shopkeepers to a size 81 safe for banks and financial institutions.

A fully weeled multi-corner bend construction without a single rivet makes the body an integral whole.
Godrej Defender safes have all their five sides and door armoured with a specially formulated Double-duty barrier material which provides massive resistance to attacks of sledge hammers, power drills, oxy-acetylene flame and arcutting. The barrier material is encased between strong outer and inner steel bodies to resist the types of attacks mentioned above and withstand the impact of falls from upper floors.
The body thickness on all five sides is 10mm including Double-duty barrier material and as result it offers as much resistance as 25mm thick solid steel.

The most frequently attacked portion of a safe is the door. That's why the door is given superior protection with a series of barriers. This enhances its resistance to attacks with sledge hammer, power drill, oxy-acetylene flame and arc-cutting. The total thickness of various barrier materials in the door is 135mm to 145mm.

Godrej Defender range of safes is fitted with Godrej superior quality, dual-control, high-precision 8-lever locks. These locks are unpickable and only the original keys will open them. Stainless steel keys are supplied in duplicate.
Depending on the size of the safe, two or three persons can share the control of the safe for minimising chances of collusion.

If required, the following locking arrangements can be provided in lieu of, or additionally, at an extra cost:
1. Dual-control locks:
Additional dual-control locks can be fitted in large models (i.e. size 41-81).
2. The unbeatable Godrej numerical combination locks:
Godrej keyless numerical 3-wheel combination lock, offers a choice of nearly a million combinations for setting and resetting the combinations as required.
The dial of the lock can be made inoperative by locking it for additional security.
Godrej combination locks can be fitted even after the installation of the safe at the user's premises.
3. Time Locks (Imported)- for additional security:
Larger models of safes i.e. size 41, 49, 61, 61 DD and 81 can be fitted with imported, superior quality Time Locks with multiple clock movements, if specified at the time of placing the order. The details of these locks can be furnished on request.

As locks are most vulnerable to attacks of safe brakers, they are protected with a specially designed drill-defeat shield in the door.

Depending on the size, models of Godrej Defender Safes have varying number of retractable shooting bolts as indicated in the table of specifications.
Strong moveable shooting bolts are evenly spaced to secure the door in the 'box-jamb' on either side of the body.
Special care is taken to ensure that shootinh bolts are given substantial protection by the jamb of the body on either side of the safe, thereby making it impossible to dislodge the door by cutting through the hinges.
The bolt-work mechanismis actuated by a handle fitted on an impact-resisting shaft designed to defeat attempts to hammer the shaft in.

Another unique feature is the balanced pressure bolt-work. It ensures safety from attacks by dislodging. Any pressure exerted on the lock bolt on one side automatically brings into play equal balancing pressure on the opposite side to neutralise and defeat the attempts to dislodge the lock.

This is a standard feature on all models of Godrej Defender Safes. This sensitive device is triggered off when an attempt is made to attack the lock through the keyhole either mechanically or with the help of liquid explosives. This devices gets automatically actuated when the safe-breaker begins to tamper with the lock or attack it with a sledge hammer or other instruments.

The total protection offered by Godrej Defender Safes is unmatched by any other safes. In addition to offering massive resistance against attacks of safe-breakers, contents of Defender Safes are protected from heat of raging fire.
Godrej Defender safes have successfully withstood the one hour fire and impact test carried out by C.B.R.I., Roorkee (Pin 247 667), India. Defender Safes were tested according to the time-temperature curve as specified in standards ISO:834-1975 and IS:3809-1979.

All steel components are given a thorough seven-step anti-corrosion treatment. Immediately afterwards, the steel components are given coats of rust-inhibiting paint for more protection against rust. The safes are further given coats of high quality, expensive nitrocellulose paint to render smooth, scratch-free, lasting and attractive finish. The body is finished in dark grey and the door in light grey. The attractive two-tone finish blends well with any decor.

In addition to massive protection against fire, Godrej Defender safes have been accorded the TL-30 Label by Underwriters' Laboratories, U.S.A.- the internationally recognised body for setting security standards.
In case the users wish to purchase any model of Godrej Defender range of safes with U.L Label, the same can be supplied at an extra cost fitted with U.L certified imported 3-wheel combination lock which is a prerequisite specified by Underwriters' Labratories, U.S.A.
Here it should be noted that Godrej Defender range of safes without U.L. Label (not fitted with U.L. approved 3-wheel combination lock) offer the same resistance against attacks of safe-breakers as Defender safes with U.L. Label.
Additionally, as mentioned earlier, on account of the unique design and the special properties of Double-duty barrier material, Godrej Defender range of safes also offers substantial resistance to attacks of oxy-acetylene flame and arc-cutting. Banks, financial institutions and commercial establishments can now entrust their valuables to dependable protection offered by Godrej Defender range of safes.

All shelves are removeable and are adjustable in larger models. Except 26 safe which is provided with a lockable hinged door, all other models have drawers with 6-level Godrej locks.

Banks or hotels wishing to provide safe deposit lockers without constructing an RCC strong room can opt for the 81 Defender safe with 36, 46 or 56 safe deposit lockers. Size 61 Defender safe is available with 29 safe deposit lockers.
