GeekWorld 2001: See You Next Wednesday
This year's title phrase first popped up in 2001: A Space Odyssey and has made other appearances in John Landis projects.
To the best of my knowledge, I recall that Prince, while experiencing some legal entanglements with his record label, officially changed his name to some graphical symbol, which, in the abscence of any legible words, could only be uttered as "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince" ("The Artist" to his friends?).
One day, in my doodlings, I drew a circle with three lines. One line extended from the bottom of the circle and out the top. The second extended from the left side and out the right side. The third line extended from about 1:30 on the circle and out through about 7:30. Given that basic design, I have several variations to fit different contexts. Though I have not, am not now, nor hope ever to experience legal troubles, I have adopted the symbol above as the official logo of GeekWorld 2001. Read "The Geek Formerly Known As YOUR NAME HERE."
