Join the Society

Membership of the society is available for a joining fee of £20 (UK) or £25 (overseas). Subsequent renewals are £10 p.a. worldwide

Members receive:

  • A FREE reproduction Maling catalogue (value approx 8 GBP) as a joining gift
  • A quarterly newsletter
  • Exclusive access to the members' area of our website
  • The opportunity to attend collectors' days (at which a number of ex-employees usually attend to demonstrate their skills and/or reminisce about their time at Maling)

Our achievements to date include:

  • The recovery of Maling moulds, sold off when the factory closed in 1963. These are now used at collectors' days to demonstrate how Maling ware was made
  • A professionally-made DVD of Maling workers casting and decorating pots and recalling their time at the pottery
  • A series of informative newsletters (Back issues are available to "members only" in the password-protected members' area of this site)
  • An appearance on BBC Television's "Flog It!" programme, in which we publicised the quality and collectability of Maling. Again, copies are available to members only.
