Info & Other Links...

If you want to know more about Maling wares, you need "Maling - the trademark of excellence" written by Steven Moore. You should be able to get it from the Tyne & Wear Museums Service or try the Laing Art Gallery on 0191 232 7734.

Other books are out of print but may appear on eBay or Amazon. They include: Maling and Other Tyneside Pottery by RC Bell (Shire Publications) and Tyneside Pottery by RC Bell (Studio Vista).

The society cannot officially endorse any restoration service. However, a member speaks highly of China Repairs & Restorations.

Our good friend Charles Allen once ran a pottery on the former Maling site, and hosted several collectors' days. Why not drop into his site at New Castle Delft?

Our patron Tony Boullemier has written a novel based on the family history: Leonie & the Last Napoleon. "The story was electrifying and just had to be told"” says Tony. "The book has something for everyone. Love, lust and warfare, and plenty of political intrigue!"
