HTMLGoodies.com: A great place to find out how to do just about anything with HTML. Freecode: A great place place to get source codes to paste into your documents. Javascripts.com: Another great Javascript source code archive. This one, however, requires registering with them. Well worth it, though. Mediabuilder: You name it, it's here. Some great features include an online Gif Optimizer, an online application to turn any gif file into a button, free animated gifs and icons, free fonts, downloads, and an online animated banner maker. Web Site Garage: This is a great place to check out your site before you publish it to the internet. This online service checks for HTML design mistakes, spelling errors, browser compatibility, load time, dead or inactive links, and search engine readiness. A must see for beginners and advanced alike. SiteOwner.com: not only lets you check your web site, but also submit it to search engines, check your site's search engine ranking, find out how many pages link to you, create META tags, and more! PixelSight: This site is famous for its clip art library, and online manglers. A great place to make custom graphics (such as icons, buttons, and header text) for your website. It was once a free service, but now requires a membership charge. The fee is worth it, though, for those who are serious about their webpage, but can't design graphics. ($49 a year for personal usage, $99 a year for business usage) Back to index Important Yahoo! GeoCities Links This section is for those of you who are working within Yahoo! GeoCities. The first link is for those of you who are looking to apply for a Yahoo! GeoCities homepage. File Manager This is where you log in to work on your page. A selection of editors are available through the File Manager. Also, you can upload files using the EZ Upload Utility. Yahoo! PageBuilder Log directly into GeoCities home page builder for the HTML illiterate. GeoPlus Login GeoPlus members can access the premium utilities for their page here. GeoShops Manager Login/Join GeoShops members can access utilities for their page here. Now called Yahoo! Site/Store. This is a commercial homepage program, for those who wish to advertise their business. GeoGuide GeoCities' own banner exchange program. Promote your site, and get rid of the pop-up ads and Ad Squares. This is the place to customize and activate the GeoGuides on your pages. Counter Manager Put a counter on your page to see how many visits it has gotten. Yahoo! GeoCities Guestbook Get your own guestbook started for your page's guests to sign. Yahoo! Message Board Create a message board (forum) for your web site. Password Lookup Utility This handy tool is the one to use when you forget your password. It sends your password to the email address you have in your profile. (Note: If you no longer have access to the email address in your profile, this utility won't help you!) Account Info Editor Edit the information in your GeoCities profile. Yahoo! GeoCities Chat A wide variety of chat rooms for every topic. Yahoo! GeoCities Message Boards Post messages for other Geo members. GeoCities Free Clip Art I think the link says it all. Neighborhoods List This page lists all of GeoCities' neighborhoods, and their themes. Yahoo! GeoCities Topic Clubs Are you in a GeoCities neighborhood and want to find out what's going on? The list of the different themed Yahoo! Clubs are listed here. Supported File Types Find out what file types are allowed to be used in GeoCities. System Status Page Having problems accessing your site? Then go here to find out what's going on. Yahoo! GeoCities Terms of Service (TOS) Find out what is allowed on your GeoCities homepage. Banner Volunteers Can't make your own banner? Ask one of the volunteers to do it for you! Alert Form Help out GeoCities by reporting violations. Help Pages This is Yahoo! GeoCities' help section. FTP Procedures/Help Go here for instructions on uploading files via FTP. You can also download a FTP program here. Delete your Account Be very careful!
