These files are UUEncoded, then converted to text documents. You DO NOT have to decode them in order to view them; however, this process may interfere with sending and receiving using the GRAPHLINK software. I will update this page and inform you as to the current format. Eventually, these will be unencoded program files. All instruction and control files can be viewed from the browser, or with Windows Notepad.

Coming Attractions:

In response to numerous E-mails against a framed page, I have decided instead to use anchor tags to take you where you want to go.

Send those programs! This is the page I will put a lot of emphasis on in the near future. I need your creations to make it possible!

Shootmup.83p

This program is my first and, as such, is a simple one. You are sitting in a turret, the "<" on the right side of the screen, fighting off endless numbers of oncoming missiles ">", drones ")", and fighters "}". The up and down keys move your turret, the "2nd" key fires, and you make your own pause button. (Hey, I can't do everything, sitting here talking to you, answering your E-mails, AND programming this game?) For 1 player ONLY. RATING: ***

Gmoflife.83p

Read it like it is. This is the game of LIFE for the TI-83, with some added features to make up for the lack of a board, as well as enhance the game. First, I have changed the play of the game so that you do not play a number of squares, you play until the game says you are 78. Second, I have included medical insurance to appease the money-grubbing doctor, also included. Without this insurance, Medical bills are $15000 PER PERSON! For 1 player or group play.

RATING: ****

Grafskch.83p

This is a math utility that lets the user input A, B, C, and D of a quadratic function, then view the vertex, discriminant, x-intercepts, y-intercept, and even lets you graph the equation and view a table of points while still within the program. Just about the only thing it won't do is write it down for you!

Pizza Drop - This is a weird game, to say the very least. You are at the top of the screen, holding a pizza. At the bottom is a rat. The object is simple: hit the rat with the pizza! This game is zipped, so you need something like PKUnzip or WinZIP to get it out. But then, let the fun begin!
Coming Soon...

These files are written, unless otherwise specified, but since I don't have a GRAPHLINK cable, they have to reside on my calculator until at least July 21 (My birthday!), when I will get one. I might also be able to use a friend's. Keep your eyes peeled for those black titles to turn blue!

X-wing 1.0 - Celebrating the re-release of STAR WARS, I have programmed a shoot-em-up based on the battle over the Death Star. It is a very good game, with the speed improved slightly since it was written, but the controls are modeled after a computer joystick and therefore take some getting used to, and it is not as fast as I would like it to be. May the Force be with you... Click Here for instructions and controls. For 1 player ONLY. Estimated Rating: ****
Estimated Release: July 23, 1997

The Oregon Trail - This is the original Oregon Trail for the TI-83. It is very popular with the people who beta-test my games; however, it is not fully debugged yet. This text-only game is quite good, but doesn't have some of the niceties of the computer game. People only "Get Sick", because I can't program in all the diseases the computer game. Also, every landmark is to be treated as a fort. For 1 player or group play.

Estimated Rating: ***
Estimated Release: August 1, 1997

ImsaRace 24-Hour competition - This is an improved version of Indy 500. It is slightly faster, with added starting and finish sequences. YES! You heard me! You can actually finish a race and move on to the next one! Each successive race gets longer, which is the only way I could make it more difficult. I have also fixed the bug in which you can get off of the racetrack by going through the gap sometimes created as the track narrows. For 1 player ONLY. Estimated Rating:****1/2
Estimated Release: July 23, 1997

Tank! Version 3.2 - It's finally here! This newest version of "Tank!", the first board game exclusively for the TI-83, has an 8x8 board, interactive selection (no more menus!), a "back" button for changing your mind at the last minute, a more foolproof algorithm for increased anti-cheating, and a new layout. This game will be the version I put on this page. Incidentally, this game can be played on an "Othello" board with the two-sided pieces and some squares of paper. Click Here to view Rules and Instructions. For 2 players unlinked ONLY. Tank! 4.0 will have AI capabilities for 1 player use.
Estimated Release: July 23, 1997

Screen Saver Pak 1.0 - This, as the titles indicate, is a collection of screen savers for the TI-83. Although the TI-83 doesn't require them, they are still fun to watch; the kind of program you put on your calculator once, watch it, then give it to someone else and delete it. Sword is a series of lines emanating from the center of the screen. A more detailed description can be visualized if you imagine someone swinging a sword and having four images of the sword lag behind at different intervals. It is small (455 bytes) and is an interesting sequence. Triangle is a bit more involved and half as fast. It is a triangle constantly moving and changing shape. If you think in three dimensions as you watch, it looks like it is tumbling rather than morphing around the screen. Crawly is a caterpillar ambling quite speedily around the screen.
Tornament Raquetball - This is a carbon copy of the classic Z-shell game, ZPong, as played in Teacher mode, but without the option of slamming the ball. It is quite fast, just shy of 600 bytes in size, and is a great game to pass around.
Estimated Release: July 23, 1997
C-E-N-T-I-P-E-D-E! - This was a suggestion by one of my beta testers, which I am seriously considering. It will be on the home screen for added speed and old-fashioned graphics, and will include most of the qwirks and other characters in the game. Another remote possibility in the far future is Q*Bert, but that is a small chance, given the speed limitations of the TI-83's processor.
For more programs, visit one of the many unofficial TI-8x sites. And as always, visit here frequently for new programs. I specialize in TI-83 programs, but any TI program you want to submit is welcome here. With a little luck, ZShell games will be on this site in the near future. Remember that ZShell games are strings, and require a memory backup to properly transfer them. I will display any TI program you send me, as well as a short summary which you MUST also send (Especially on the larger games), and display a link to any web page you have and would like to advertise. However, due to Geocities' content guidelines, I cannot advertise commercially based sites, only give links, so I will view each URL given to ensure that it is safe to advertise.
