6/28/2005 I walk across the soft white sand at the beach. A baby stroller or two stand by the ramp, a person sits before me watching the surf. There seem to be few people around, and the day feels calm. I watch the surf rolling, the swells going out to the break way out offshore, and I know that this ocean is part of all the oceans. I have touched it in Venezuela, in the Philippines, even in Greece. One liquid envelope covering this ball of rock called the Earth. Then I reflect that this one Earth supports all the dry land I have visited, that all foreign lands are connected beneath this sheet of water. I touch the ocean, knowing that I touch all lands everywhere through it. I look down the shore, and I see hundreds of people. They are walking along the beach, looking out at the ocean, playing with their children and their pets. Just within view, hundreds of people, who were not obvious when I looked across the sand. Further, out of sight, there must be hundreds of thousands of people. Around the world, watching the ocean in daylight, in moonlight, in starlight, millions of people. And I have touched them through the land, through the ocean, today.
6/27/2005 Confidence: certainty in a positive outcome. Nice. I use that word a lot. Now I understand why. My knowledge that the Universe supports me and that I always have more than enough is confidence.
6/26/2005 Thoughts held in mind produce after their kind. While this production can be instantaneous, usually it is not. Every little thought does not produce a completed result; it is our action over time that produces the result. How much time depends on what result is desired, and how much energy is directed to its manifestation. Energy direction need not be effortful; where attention goes energy flows. But a declaration that a specific result will appear on or before a specific date will not necessarily manifest that result on our schedule. When we pick a date, what we are doing is giving ourselves a reason to take some constructive action on or before that date. There is our time and God's time, some teachers say. What they mean is that our schedule may not be absolutely authoritative. But holding a thought is mind does, at some point, cause the result to manifestat.
6/25/2005 Today in the Clearing to Create seminar, Margaret came up with a solution to the puzzle, "what is peace?" As we went over the exercises that created the feeling of peace, Margaret observed that it is a feeling. We had a yogin present who explained to us that the yoga class next door was going through the same kind of exercise. Through a long-term intensive meditation, the yoga students were getting in touch with their feeling bodies. All repulsion and attraction, the yogin said, boiled down to a physical sensation in the body. So kinetic memory, muscle testing, and gut feeling all have to do with getting in touch with your intuition through feeling your body. There is a physical path to the Higher Self. If something "doesn't feel right," or "just feels right," pay attention. Spirit is talking.
6/24/2005 In Enlighened Warrior Training Camp I saw the most amazing phenomenon. As each person faced a challenge, he or she rose to it. That person's age, size, gender, even apparent disability, did not hamper his or her ability to rise above the challenge and to conquer it. Everyone had the capability of tapping Infinite Power within, on demand. Today, months later, I am sometimes reminded of this observation, even in my everyday and apparently mundane life. The Infinite Power is inside everyone and is accessible to everyone, at every moment he or she breathes the breath of Life. Education and the news are full of success stories. We have seen them all our lives, and we see them every day. Alexander the Great, Cleopatra VII, Napoleon, Victoria, Copernicus, Joan of Arc, Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Bobby Unser, Sally Ride, Martin Luther King, Jr., Maria Theresa, Winston Churchill, Boudicca, Simon Bolivar, Condoleeza Rice. The message is not that these people were any greater than we, nor that they had access to more power than we. The message is that the Infinite Power is accessible to each of us. New names appear on the list every day, and whether ours is listed or not, we have the same power and we use it every day.
6/23/2005 My Warrior name is Lightning Spider, and I bring integrity and wisdom to the Tribe. This just in, ladies and gentlemen: I have found the key to success, and it is fun. Well, maybe the message comes in over and over again. Edwene Gaines said it. Bijan said it. Between all the lectures on integrity, Harv Eker said it. Elouise Oliver said it, and Dick Bolles said it. Read between the lines, and the Dalai Lama said it. Whether the topic is money, health, relationships or your Life's Calling, the way to find it is to have fun. When you're having fun time passes quickly, tasks that would seem hard become easy, opportunities and assistance flow to you naturally, and everyone recognizes there is something special about your life. And the Universe actually pays you to do it! OK, I'm having fun. My home is happy, my friends are happy; we are prosperous and healthy and loving. I do what I want to do, when I want to do it. I am a warrior: I have finished porting the Village at Petrini Place web site. I have fulfilled my promise to the Home Owners Association. When was I finally motivated to fulfill my promise? When I discovered that porting the site was fun! Once it became fun, the job was finished in a day, and I was happy all the way through the project.
6/22/2005 The Prosperity Salon lives! We are all receiving tremendous insight as we persevere in the 40-day program. Today Margaret sent me a pointer to Emerson's essay on self-reliance. I would quote Emerson, and he would frown on it, for he believed that we should all acknowledge the original intuition within us for what it is. Emerson was not happy with our tendency to document quotes with authority, for he felt that a statement of the truth should stand on its own without ad hominem association. Indeed, he felt that we should ignore other persons' opinions, for our intuition would lead us to success regardless of whether anyone else had succeeded in our style of endeavor before. At first I thought it was hard to follow Emerson's train of thought. One paragraph didn't seem to follow from another. Then I realized Emerson's paragraphs were each self-contained. What has been published as an essay are really his journal entries! He would write down a thought and go away. When another thought came to him, he would come back and write that down. He published his journal!
Tuesday, June 21, 2005 10:11:18 PM While Robert Allen teaches us about multiple streams of income, Harv Eker teaches us to use the jars, which give us multiple streams of outflow. No one outflow takes all our cash. There is always enough cash to provide what we need or desire, if we know how to categorize our behavior. What may be obtained through long term savings for spending in one instance may be recharacterized as education in another. What might be a necessity in one case may be play in another. As I look at the multiple streams of manifestation available to me, I am forced to examine what I desire, why I desire it, and how it will serve me. The jars are a very powerful little tool.
6/20/2005 There is a certain contentment that comes with the knowledge that I am constantly creating my reality. If wealth is what I desire, then wealth is what I create. If growth is what I desire, then opportunities for growth will appear. If self-expression is my true desire, then I will find ways to express myself. All comes from within; there is no need to fear anything in the physical world. I rejoice that the physical world, which is but one part of the Universe, acts to support my every desire. I rejoice that the Universe acts to support me in the physical, the mental, and the spiritual realms.
6/19/2005 I am rich. A beggar on Haight Street declared me rich as I strolled past him in the warm evening air. Beggars are asking my wife for more money than ever before. The Universe is telling us that we are rich. Whatever gives people this impression is coming from our own consciousness. The abundance of the Universe is flowing through us, and we appear to others, as well as ourselves, as rich. So I know that our mansion is on the way. I know that our cars are waiting for us. I know that the world is eagerly anticipating our visits. I know that all we desire is just on the other side of a very, very thin veil, waiting for us to step through.
6/18/2005 Everything I truly desire is accomplished. The past provides no limitation on my ability to accomplish new things. What I have now is simply the result of my past desires. If my desires change, my circumstances change. Anything is possible.
6/17/2005 Just by being alive I create my experience, and I create it to the degree that I wish to experience it. My inner world creates my outer world, and I create the exact degreee of my success.
6/16/2005 If I desire something, I will act to fulfill that desire. If I declare a desire, the Universe will act to fulfill that desire. Sometimes it seems as though the Universe were acting without my participation; at others my participation is essential. How do I know the difference? Only in retrospect can I tell.
6/15/2005 Wealth is not a number, it's an attitude. I have a warm, dry, happy home, work I love to do, and a beautiful, brilliant spouse. I am already wealthy.
Tuesday, June 14, 2005 7:19:00 PM Not only do I have to think I am powerful, I have to feel it. The activation energy behind creation is emotional. I can attend any number of seminars, read any number of books, and still not see my desires manifested. When I am charged with emotion, I act and manifest my desires swiftly and effortlessly. Thoughts lead to feelings, which lead to action, which yields the results. Without feelings, the thoughts are never translated into action, or the action is weak, or halfhearted.
6/13/2005 When I know I am powerful, then I act in my power. It is not the acting powerful that makes me powerful, but the inner knowledge. Donald Trump once said, "If you're going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big."
6/12/2005 Here we are back at "the meaning of life." 42, people, 42. The infinite power of the Universe is manifested as me, myself, and I. The power to change lies within me here and now, and that is the power not only to change myself, but also to change everything and everyone around me. When I change, the Universe changes with me. Harv Eker points out that thoughts are neither good nor bad, neither right nor wrong. It is more useful to look at thoughts as either supportive or unsupportive, and to choose to think thoughts that are supportive. In the Religious Science class on Financial Freedom we are taught to ask, "would believing this make me feel more free?" In the absence of a clear consensus of "what is what is," I choose to believe that the Reality behind all existence, what is Real, is supportive of my every ambition. I feel more freedom believing this, I choose to believe this, and so it is.
Saturday, June 11, 2005 4:55:38 PM I decide that I am hungry and head for the cafeteria. My goal of the moment is to eat. The cafeteria is full of food, and I pick a slice of pizza and a diet Coke. OK, maybe it's not the most enlightened food, but it will satisfy my goal. I have expressed a desire, and the Universe rushes up to serve me. "Meya hep you?" it asks. Yes, I'd like lunch. "Hee hipty hee," it declares, and for $3.63 I compensate the Universe for: the farmers that raised the wheat, mushrooms, peppers, onions and tomatoes. The millers. The pickers and truckers who got the ingredients to the distribution center and to the cafeteria. The baker who made the pizza in its final form. The bottler who packed the Coke into a pressurized can so that I could pour it into my glass. The makers of the can, the glass, the plate and fork. The company that compressed the gas for the bottler. The staff that cleans the utensils after I am done, and the manufacturer of the machine they operate. The water district that provided the water for the Coke and for the dishwashing machine. The electric company that generated the power for the pizza oven. The manufacturer of the soap. The manufacturers of the tables and chairs. The staff that cleaned them so I could eat in a tranquil and clean environment. The contractor and all the subcontractors that built the office building. My client, who is now the tenant, for subcontracting the cafeteria operator. The cafeteria operator, who hired all the nice people who baked me the pizza, cleaned the dining area, and will clean my utensils. The list goes on. All this support to satisfy a simple desire. The Universe becomes self-aware through many points of consciousness, and I am one of them. Something Big is looking through my eyes, something with infinite power and compassion. The ability to create is manifested through constant creation, and It constantly creates to my order.6/10/2005 Turning away from the chaos of circumstance, I look inward to my continuous power to create through intuition and insight. My insight operates more efficiently as I look to it for guidance, letting go of news and analysis in the press. Letting go of the opinions and politics of the people I meet in business, I follow the inner voice and deal with everyone I meet with unconditional love, letting the creative flow move between us unrestricted.
6/9/2005 More important than the number of dollars I move around in my accounts, more important than the square footage of my property, more important than the brand of car I drive, is the awareness, understanding and knowledge that I can always increase. Once I know that I am a creative force, that my energy precipitates in my reality as my environment and my experience, I know that I can create anything. It is this knowledge that allows me to dare to be great, to go ahead and create in spite of any appearance or of any comment I may hear. "I can do this" is my most powerful affirmation.
6/8/2005 A very interesting thing about intuition and the ability to recognize opportunity is that it is powerful enough to overcome any apparent setback, including starting at square one with nothing. The phrase, "restore the years the locusts have eaten" always prompts a request for an explanation. In ancient Egypt and Babylon civilization was subject to the flood and drought cycle. Joseph managed the storehouses of Egypt, saving during the "fat" years to provide for the "lean" years. The old agrarian treasuries were granaries, not strongholds full of gold and jewels. When the "lean" years appeared, the greater countries would rely on the storehouses to provide the food for the nation. If there wasn't enough, famine could decimate the population and political unrest could topple the government. A plague of locusts was a swarm of billions or trillions of insects. Plagues of locusts would sweep an entire subcontinent, and still do; one swept through Egypt and Somalia this year. The locusts would consume not only all the grain and edible material in the farms and fields, they would also get into the storehouses and eat the national reserve. When the locusts were through, nothing would be left. The nation had nothing, zero, nada, had to start from square one. "Restore the years the locusts have eaten," then, is to restore wholly, as if no setback had occurred. This is how powerful the inner guidance of a confident person can be. Donald Trump has lost fortunes and made them back again, billions of dollars at a time. I don't recall any time at which I was completely devastated, in the sense that a nation's food reserve could be decimated by a plague, but I do remember a few times when I had very little to my name. Once I drove into Norfolk, Virginia, with just a sleeping bag, a tent, an ice chest, and a three-burner propane stove packed in the back of a Volkswagen beetle. A visit here, a conversation there, and a night or two of sleeping in friends' living rooms, and I was on my feet. I had a job in a couple of weeks, and I was good to go. I never doubted I had the capability.
6/7/2005 The power of intuition operates at an unconscious level. Conscious thinking cannot coerce it into action. It is after I let go of conscious coercion that the unconscious is freed to act. It is in my best interests to take a happy, grateful attitude, to forget any anxieties I have chosen heretofore, to create, and to trust that intuition will lead the way. Inspiration and "gut feeling" lead me constantly, and all I need to do is recognize it and continue to follow.
6/6/2005 I am always creating. Whatever I create comes from my thoughts, which include my expectations and my fears. Whatever I focus on expands, and whatever I imagine becomes my experience.
Sunday, June 05, 2005 11:04:50 PM There is an infinite power within me, connected to the Infinite Power of the Universe, that recognizes opportunities in my life to express myself more fully in ways that contribute to the manifestation of wealth in my circumstances. Call it intuition, call it instinct, call it clairvoyance, call it what you will, the power I have is inherent in my existence and expands continuously. This same power exists in everyone, and it is easier to use when stress and worry are not in the picture. So I relax and trust, and more opportunities avail themselves every day. Sometimes I'm tempted to hope that other Prosperity Salon members really get this; then I am reminded that it is none of my business whether they do. My business is to insure that I get this, myself. So as I furrow my brow over the cryptic words of John Randolph Price, I am inspired to look up the article on metaphysics in the Encyclopedia Britannica. Then I am up all night! I thought I didn't like to read, but here I am reading article after article, page after page, and on philosophy, no less! When I read the article on the history of philosophy a few years ago, I was searching for issues and answers that are directly addressed by this one! And as an added treat, Prof. Bruce Wilshire has written the article in plain English! I find that metaphysics is a fascinating subject, even laughing at the note that one major issue is the question of "What is what is?" One gift that Prof. Wilshire has for me is a description of the debate about the topic of mind. I have often wondered why, when Ernest Holmes called his discipline the Science of Mind, he did so little to clarify and explain what he meant by the word mind, itself. It seems that at the time he wrote his original studies, Holmes' world was entrenched in the discussion of mind, and he did not need to explain what he meant. Now that the topic is out of vogue, we sometimes wonder what the heck was going on, as definitions seem to be sparse. Look to metaphysics, and its discussion in the late 19th Century, and the topic of mind is everywhere! So yes, I am getting it.
Saturday, June 04, 2005 2:46:47 PM Does space exist? Is space a thing? As a condominium owner I have legal dominion over a space. But space is the absence of things. Space is the distance between things. Does distance exist? It is measurable, therefore scientifically it does exist. Wittgenstein help me! Einstein decided that space exists, because by giving space shape and properties it was easier to model things like electromagnetism and gravity. Einstein clarified the unity of energy and matter, so energies became things in the classic sense. By extension space became a thing. What is a thing?
thing n: 1. An entity, an idea, or a quality perceived, known, or thought to have its own existence.
-- American Heritage Dictionary
exist vi: 1. To have actual being, be real.
-- American Heritage Dictionary
Thus the dictionary leaves the question open for metaphysical discussion, and thoughts are things, by definition. Plotinus also had a model of space. The physical realm was only one piece of the model. Mental and spiritual realms coexisted with the physical. The statement that thoughts were things was a consistent, natural part of this model. Substance, what is that?
substance n: 2a. Essential nature, essence.
-- American Heritage Dictionary
And abundance?
abundance n: 3. Affluence, wealth.
-- American Heritage Dictionary
So here we go: The thought of abundance in me is the essential nature of my wealth; that which I imagine within is brought out into my existence on the physical plane because I picture it. That which I imagine I create. The thought in me is the cause of the creation of wealth about me. And thought, or mind, is the bridge between the spiritual world of ideas and the physical world of effects.6/3/2005 The Highest God and the Innermost God is One God. Opportunity knocks constantly, and an opportunity may present itself at any time. My Higher Self knows opportunity and recognizes that which I accept. There is no cap on wealth. The Queen of England, the Sultan of Brunei, Bill Gates -- and I -- may always become richer. My path to becoming richer lies in allowing my Higher Self to speak to me, to say, "Hey! This is an opportunity!" My recognition of Prosperity is my claim to Prosperity.
6/2/2005 We are Beings of light and energy. Energy flows through us as water, food, exercise and sleep. God flows through us like water flows through a river. Money flows through our accounts as energy or a part of God. Like a stream overflows its banks, can there be too much money? Yes -- this is runaway inflation. The Fed absorbs some of the excess through the Discount Rate. God is good; all my good is God. Healthy cash flow is good, is part of the Universe, which we call God. ~~ ooOOoo ~~ God is all that is. The Living Spirit is incarnate in everything and everyone. The Living Spirit is incarnate in me. I am part of all that is; everything in the Universe is connected with me. All that I desire is already connected with me. Therefore, I now possess it.
6/1/2005 This day, the 1st of June, 2005, I cease in believing in visible money as my supply and my support, and I view the world of effect as it truly is ... simply an outpicturing of my former beliefs. I believed in the power of money, therefore I surrendered my God-given power and authority to an objectified belief. I believed in the possibility of lack, thus causing a separation in consciousness from the Source of my supply. I believed in mortal man and carnal conditions, and through this faith gave man and conditions power over me. I believed in the mortal illusion created by the collective consciousness of error thoughts, and in doing so, I have limited the Unlimited. No more! This day I renounce my so-called humanhood and claim my divine inheritance as a Being of God. This day I acknowledge God and only God as my substance, my supply, and my support. -- David R. Dull
