Monday, February 20, 2006 10:03:46 PM Last Saturday I attended the installation of a new minister, the Rev. Brent Davis, at the San Francisco Spiritual Enrichment Center. The name of the Center amused me, as it reminded me of uranium enrichment. After a moment I realized that is exactly what is going on here. People are connecting to a higher power, supercharging their spirits by enriching them to become more pure, more concentrated, more high-energy instances of the One Spirit. Over the past year the Center has grown more prosperous. Kat held the church together while they searched for a new minister for three years. These happened to be the three years that Brent was in ministerial school. They connected, and Brent came to San Francisco last September. Kat trained three new licensed practitioners, so the Center now has five of them where there was one the last time I looked. They have come a long way, and with Brent's fresh energy and their combined vision, they are going to go a lot further. The Center is an instance of the ever expanding Universe. Brent's induction was a wonderful ceremony, and a chance for Margaret and me to see how the Center has evolved in the past two years. ~~ooOOoo~~ In this morning's meditation I came upon the thought that there are people in the world who don't step out and realize their full potential because they are addicted to a paycheck. Yes, the idea that there will be a cash flow on Friday, or on the 1st and the 15th of the month, or on the last day of the month, with some regular predictability, gives them a reason to settle for less than they are worth. They trade that predictability for their ability to reach their full potential. So the paycheck, to which they have become addicted, keeps them from realizing that they are millionaires, that the Universe's riches are theirs to command, that they can have anything that they can imagine. Out of the fear that one Friday the paycheck will not come, or out of habituation, that they have to have a paycheck this one more Friday, they forego all hope of becoming more than they have been up to this moment. They live in discontent and frustration, and settle for less because the next paycheck is to them as the next fix is to a heroin addict. The Universe will reward those who rise above their addiction, who grow and discover that all they settled for in the past was much less than they could attain once they opened themselves to the possibility of a life without limits. My mission is to find those who see the possibility, and to show them how they can achieve unlimited prosperity.
Thu Feb 9 22:25:04 GMT 2006 Declaration of Principles -- by Ernest Holmes We believe in God, the Living Spirit Almighty: one indestructible absolute and self-existent Cause. This One manifests itself in and through all creation, but is not absorbed by its creation. The manifest universe is the body of God: it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God. We believe in the incarnation of the Spirit in all and that we are all incarnations of the One Spirit. We believe in the eternality, the immortality and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding. We believe that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us and that we experience this Kingdom to the degree that we become conscious of it. We believe the ultimate goal of life to be a complete emancipation from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all. We believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God. We believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling Presence. We believe in the direct revelation of Truth through our intuitive and spiritual nature, and that anyone may become a revealer of Truth who lives in close contact with the Indwelling God. We believe that the Universal Spirit, which is God, operates through a Universal Mind, which is the Law of God: and that we are surrounded by this Creative Mind, which receives the direct impress of our thought and acts upon it. We believe in the healing of the sick through the power of this Mind. We believe in the control of conditions through the power of this Mind. We believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving-Kindness and the eternal Givingness of life to all. We believe in our own soul, our own spirit and our own destiny: for we understand that the life we live is God. And So It Is.
02/09/2006 9:16:22 AM I did not realize I would have to learn how to be rich. I thought that being rich was just a circumstance; that if I learned how to make the money that would be all there was to it. I had thought the years of studying an attitude of abundance, of practicing it through affirmations and visualization, were just a means to manifest riches. Yet this month I stood on the brink of wealth beyond my imagination, and I found I was not ready to receive it. Not ready. That was strange. The work I do now is a laboratory, like the casino seminar, in which I get to discover how ready I am. There is a philosophy, an ease and a relaxation, a knowing certainty of the abundance of the universe, that rich people have. Each day I get deeper into this philosophy, more comfortable with the knowledge, more certain that previously unimagined amounts of money will flow in my direction. Soon the sprouts will stick their heads above the ground, and I will be able to distinguish the corn from the grass. In the meanwhile, I am also learning that purpose is not about cash flow or balances in bank accounts. Purpose is about serving mankind, changing the consciousness of the Universe one point of view at a time. Purpose is about delivering salvation from limited thinking, about watching people learn that they possess infinite capability within themselves. Purpose is about learning to focus attention, to steadfastly observe all progress and confirmation, ignoring everything less. This is not the universe my parents taught me about. It's not the universe my teachers in grade school, high school, Sunday school, catechism, college, and graduate school taught me about. It's not the universe my former employers, clients, and colleagues believed in. I am now immersing myself in the culture of greatness, hearing the stories and seeing the potential that really, really successful people hear and see. It's a universe of good, and love, and mission, and unlimited potential. In this universe I can learn to be rich.
