Unordered
Lists
If you don't recoginize the term "unordered lists" is that they are often refered to as bullet lists.  All this means is that you have a lists of items, and that each item has a "bullet" next to it.  The bullet can be many things, mostly a small black circle is used though.

The tags to make a list are

    and
.  Each item is marked with a tag to let it know that it is a bulleted item.

To the right is an example of a a unordered list.

Ordered
Lists
Ordered lists are just like unordered lists with the exception of using
    and
instead of using
    and
.

When the ordered list is displayed in a web browser, the items are numbered.

  1. Item 1
  2. Item 2
  3. Item 3
  4. Item 4
  5. Item 4

Definition
Lists
As you might expect, definition lists begin and end with the tags
and
. However, unlike the unordered and ordered lists, definition lists are not based on list items. They are instead based on term-definition pairs.
