The Campaign

Our campaign is simple: if you are a Canadian citizen, and have your own web page, please take one of our buttons, and display it proudly.

We aren't working for any cause but patriotism. We don't want money, and we don't want to take over the world; we want you to take one of our buttons!

Canadian, Eh?
What About The Buttons?

Several different buttons are available, and each one has a different symbol of Canada on it, such as the flag, the beaver, or the Maple Leaf. There are also some displaying stamps, and locations around Canada. Since Canada is a bilingual country, English and French versions are available. These are not the only options, however. If you would like us to provide a different file format, a different symbol, anything at all, just E-mail us.

The buttons are free, take them if you wish! To speed up loading times, we have two sample buttons for you. The rest can be found on the Canadian Button Page.

For more buttons, go to the Canadian Button Page! There is a large selection there, and we keep adding others.

Canadian, Eh?
Is There A Catch?

We don't have a catch. If you like the buttons and use one, we would like it if you would put a link back to this page on your page. You do not have to do this! This is merely a request...

How To Use The Buttons

If you want to do this, here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Buttons page and get the image you want.
  2. Open your favorite HTML editor and insert this code:
    <A HREF="http://geocities.datacellar.net/
    SiliconValley/Pines/7262/canada.html"><IMG SRC="yourimagename.gif"></A>

The HTML has been broken up so you can see it all, so put it all on one line.
  3. Upload your image and newly modified HTML file.
  4. Test your page to see if it works. (Yeah, yeah, it probably does, but this can save you a lot of trouble. I'm paranoid about this. Just do it.)
  5. Enjoy your new addition!
  6. You can also get a text file with the instructions.

Why Should I Do This?

Well, there are many reasons why you should do this. First of all, by displaying the small button you are making a statement about your patriotism. Secondly, this will hopefully help you to get more hits. You will get a link from us (as long as you reciprocate it), and we're trying to figure out more ways of promoting sites.
