A Creative Writing Drop-Out

summary

"The Drop-Out..." consists of the e-mail login of
a journalist who has had enough of living in the middle of crisis,
of being invaded by reality,
of having no control over her writing and life.
Of prostituting herself.
A collection of personal letters, articles, short stories map out
the nobody's land zone stretching between
"I loathe being determined and I will put an end to it.
Now.
From now on I refuse to serve!"
to
"I am in command of my life. Therefore I am free to starve."
From not being allowed to write, to being free to
but not knowing what to write about anymore...
In her void she listens to the people's stories and broods and writes them down effacing herself.
She finds a community of writers with the inerent naiveté and charm of wannabes.
Still
She's but a waiting room in which people talk.
