The Siamese cat comes in a variety of colors. There is the
seal point, chocolate point, blue point, and lilac point.
What is meant by point color is the color that appears on
the face or mask, ears, paws and tail. That color can be
black, brown, blue or lilac. The rest of the body or coat,
should be clear.
The Siamese kitten will develop its point color within the
first few weeks of its life. By the time the kitten is four
weeks old, you can tell what color the points are.
Seal Point Kitten Approximately 6 Weeks of Age

The show standard for the Siamese is very specific:
Clear Coat
Long Whippy Tail with no visible tail fault (kink)
Tight,Tubular Body
Long Legs
Head to be a Nice Wedge
Ears flared and good size (not too small and not straight
up in the air)
Eyes Almond Shaped - not round - Eye color must be blue
Siamese cats and kittens are very sweet, affectionate and
extremely vocal. They are also very loyal and highly
intelligent. I've had Siamese kittens and cats who used to
love to fetch whether it be a toy or ball. Never taught
them how to - they just learned on their own!!!
Another breed called the "Colorpoint Shorthair" resembles
the Siamese in temperment, body type and point color. But
the Colorpoint comes in more exotic colors. There is the
red point, cream point, tortie point and lynx points. The
redpoints and cream points have red or cream color on their
points. The tortie point comes in a variety of colors
(seal, blue, chocolate and lilac) and has mottling on the
points. The lynx point also comes in seal, blue, chocolate
and lilac as well as red and cream. But in the lynx point,
there is barring on the points. The show standard is the same for Colorpoints as it is for Siamese.

Although I am deeply fond of the Siamese, my love for
felines extends to all cats!!
