WHIMSICAL POETRY

Have a heart and hold me near, for at least a little while
You know you really make me smile
For when you are within my sight...
I can pretend that all is right.

Have a heart, erase the fear, that torments me all night long.
Like, how soon will you be gone?
No more to be mine,
Although I am yours until the end of time.

Have a heart, and call me dear. Just pretend you'll never leave.
Please just allow me to believe
in these precious times of me and you
Because I know how precious and how few are left, so
Have a heart.
