POEMS TO PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE
Healthy food's the way to eat.
Gnaw those apples to the core.
Lettuce, tomatoes, no red meat,
Buying food at the Health Food Store.
Broccoli and cauliflower on my plate,
Skinless chicken and oven broiled fish,
I'm not just healthy, I'm losing weight
Cause there's no taters on my dish.
But it's awfully bland...not much taste,
A little more flavor could make me cheer up;
Needs something on it...quick..post haste,
Would somebody pass me the chocolate syrup?
CLUTTER
I'm really quite a clutterer,
A trait I've had forever-er.
You'll find my clutter everywhere..
On every table, shelf and chair.
There's magazines and books galore
And letters, ads and bills and more.
I know that I should change my ways,
Get organized one of these days...
So I bought a book on how to do it
But I can't remember where I put it!?!
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
On your feet, you know the drill,
Count and step, just don't stand still.
Chronology is evident,
And gravity is sure hell-bent
To lower things that once stood firm,
And prove our beauty is short-term.
So sweep away the cobwebs, Dearie,
And exercise until you're weary
Then say the words that sound like heaven,
"Let's have a cool iced tea with lemon."
'Cause just between us gals, you know,
We hate to pedal, climb and row.
And though our bodies may not be thinnish,
Our inner beauty does not diminish!
A LESSON FOR BEN
I laugh as I remember
How Ben pondered what to do
Before he made a bee-line
To the woods to hide from view.
It was only seconds later
That we heard a yelp and crash
As Ben was whisked into the air
And all we saw was ash!
So anxious to relieve himself
He didn't see that rope
That yanked him fully upside down
And hanging without hope.
At last poor Ben was set upright
And said on his return,
That he could write a book about
The lessons he has learned!
