Piha Beach

Under-water at high tide, this large area of shoreline has many nooks and crannies to explore.

Piha Beach

The RockGap.  On the incoming tide, waves create a very unique swimming hole, complete with fish!

A rock ledge within the safety of the pool gives a brilliant bubble spa and body-surfing experience, if you dare.

After a storm, walls of foam slowly creep toward you like something out of a Stephen King novel!

Coromandel Peninsula

This river on the 309 Rd has glow-worms  nearby.

Whitianga

Interesting rock formations and a walking track, are just across the harbour from the bustling wharf.  There's a popular shuttle ferry service.  Cheap too.

Waihi Ruins

Waihi

It's not difficult to be snap-happy when you're confronted with such great opportunities.

Self portrait

This ink painting I did way back in the early 70's was transformed by PhotoShop (and me).
