If I had my life to live over, I'd eat more ice cream. Less beans.

Life is full of surprises. Some are good, some are not good. Some are material, some are conceptual, some are realizations, they are all life. They all hit us. We bruise. We heal. It's life. We can't begin to walk without falling sometimes. And even then, even once we've learned, when we're hurt, it can still be hard to walk.

My explanation of hijab: Hijab, covering one's hair and body, is for the modesty of the woman, protection of the woman from men who otherwise care only for physical characteristics, satisfaction of knowing that someone has to know you adn appreciate you based on your personality--your mind and soul, and for teh recognition of Muslimah women as Muslimah women so as to encourage dawah.

I dont want anyone to judge me based on my looks unless they are totally satisfied with my personality and behavior. Ok, so i may be cutting off soem ties here, but on teh other hand, what would "getting to know" all those othe rpeopel do for me but prove to me that they were all wrong for me? So many women today date and date adn date "searching" and finaly find him, but carry forever teh memories and comparisons and repressed feeligsn of others. With this miraculous little scarf, inshaAllah, i can meet someone who wants me for *me, who I am, what I stand for, the first time. and til then, i have no worries. and lots of focus. inshaAllah.

"kill em with kindness" has taken on whole new meanings for me. its not a matter of revenge, twisted vindictiveness, or sickly-sweet-ness. its killing rivalry, killing hatred, prejudice, grudges, killing the negativity and giving birth to the optimism adn peace, regardless of circumstance. it shows a strength unmatched by many people. giving unconditional kindness has mroe reward than effort.
