Day 6:  Another Day at the Pool

Today was to be another day spent hanging out at the pool. It was our last full day to spend in the sun - because Day 7 was Chichen Itza, and that was an all day trip pretty much.  Of course, Monday afternoon we were due to fly back home, so most of that morning would be spent packing, and getting to the airport and all that fun stuff that traveling entails!

This time we were smart, and before breakfast, we marked our territory (chairs!) with 2 towels, and a few useless free travel books that were given to us at the airport.  This worked well.  If you leave some sort of belongings - like sandals, cheap flip flops, a book, or something on your chair, no one messes with it.  So after breakfast we settled down and spent the day at the pool, pool bar, and in the chairs.  I had a good tan, and actually managed to get burnt because the wind was blowing so nicely I didn't even feel the heat!  Be careful of the windy days!  Easy to burn... I was wearing SPF, and I don't normally burn, but this sun is HOT!  No humidity, but very hot sun.

Anyways, we stayed at the pool until about 3 or 4, went back to the room, and hung out for awhile.  I skipped dinner tonight, I had no appetite for dinners here anymore.  My husband felt the same, and we had a liquid dinner at the bar!  The drinks were always good, and always flowing... We went to bed somewhat early this night, around 10, due to our early morning trip to Chichen Itza.
