Biography and Quik Pix

Thanks for visiting with me today. First, let me tell you a little about my family and me. My name is Sandy and I am 40 years old. I am married to a wonderful man named Paul (35) and have two beautiful girls Mariah (6 y) and Alexandria (nicknamed Lexi - 3.5 y). At the moment we live in Orlando, Florida.

Paul currently works by day as a Medical Malpractice litigation Paralegal for a large law firm in town. In the evenings and on weekends, he is an aspiring professional Gospel Trumpet Soloist and performs concerts at churches, conventions, camps, rallies, and other edifying functions. His first album was released earlier this year and you can hear some of it here:

I used to work full-time as a writer for a publishing company that owned 18 community newspapers from Lake Worth to North Miami. During my 3 years there I received several awards for my work including 3rd place in the Florida Press Association Annual Awards and honorable mention in the National Press Association Annual Awards. I was a Columnist, Advertorial writer, and occasionally, a feature news writer.

I have shifted gears a bit now and settled into the life of a full-time mom and part-time freelance writer. I have been enjoying it very much although at times I do still miss the deadline push. At the present time I am working on several projects including two new book projects 'Lost Causes' and 'Sunrise in the Darkness'. If you wish to hear more about the books, visit the Room @ The Inn.

I thought you might like to see what we look like, so I have inserted some fairly recent pictures. The first is of our two little princesses. The second is a family portrait, taken on one of our recent trips to Disney World. Now that we live here, we spend a lot more time at the parks. You can get some helpful tips and learn about what's up and coming by visiting my Disney page.

Mariah is a very active and sociable 6 year old who loves to make friends and talk to EVERYONE! Her favorite activities are bike riding on her new Barbie bike, Coloring with Colored pencils, markers and watercolor (she's very artistic). Yes, she really is a blue eyed, strawberry blonde with dimples! Paul is digging the mote around the house as we speak and once it is done he has said that he's pulling up the draw bridge and it's not going back down until the girls turn 30!

Lexi is always smiling and friendly. She has violet blue eyes that sparkle all the time! She looks more like her mom with brownish hair and she loves to eat anything and everything. She enjoys playing with her sister, riding in her toy car, playing with her dolls, tormenting our cat Tasha and watching Disney Videos.

We are always visiting Disney World and enjoy all the parks. This picture was taken at the Animal Kingdom. The girls especially love all the characters and have huge autograph books filled with their signatures and drawings.

Some of my favorite hobbies are crafts, party planning, traveling, playing with my home page, singing, playing with my girls and surfing the net.

Well, that's our story. I hope you enjoy visiting our homepage. Take a few minutes to enjoy some of my writing by stopping at the Room @ The Inn or plunge your feet into Sandbox Satire.
