The
history of Mexico spans about three and a half thousand years, from
its native civilisations through the turbulent times of the Spanish
Conquest, the struggle for independence, revolution and on to the
unique country it is today.
With
so much to say, I have tried to break it down into various eras of
interest, which are in the process of being added when and where
possible. In this project I have been ably assisted by my Rough
Guide to Mexico, from which I have liberally
"borrowed", as it continues to be an absolute gem of a book.
I have also composed a few appendices on Arts
& Crafts, Customs
and
Food
& Drink. To say everything possible on the subject
of Mexico is pretty much impossible, so where possible I have included
links to all the places I can think of on the subject. I'm still
learning, so expect these pages to expand in the near future.
