INQUISITION Mission Statement
INQUISITION was born as a space to make public my work, thoughts
and ideas to others but I see now that it's becoming an opportunity to develop a space to
explore the wide range of art and literature in our society and how it affects each
individual, how it touches us, how it nurtures and transforms us. Whether it's poetry or
photography, theatre or cinema, music or painting, those of us for which Art has become a
fundamental part of our lives have much to say about it and much still to explore.
In this way, INQUISITION
won't be a site attempting to cover the entire universe of art/literature out there, nor
be an exhaustive webzine, but instead will concentrate in exploring individual's taste and
dialogue about the art which he or she has encountered in life and which made a
significant impact. So far, I've been writing about me and the works which capture my
interest and the ideas bouncing in my head as the result of it. I want to hear what others
think about art: What art has influenced you? Moved you? Motivated you? What films do you
like? What music do you listen to late at night when you're by yourself? What painting do
you identify with the most? These particulars, which differ from person to person, is
what's interesting me and what I want to pursue with INQUISITION.
As a result, you won't
find every film ever made reviewed, or every poet discussed, nor each and every novel
dissected and studied. What you will find here are reviews, essays, poetry, art, music and
other phenomena which reveal the vital individual experience of art. Hopefully, this aim
will bring people closer in a "virtual community" of artists, better yet just
people of all ages and races, exchanging opinions, ideas and sentiments. So you might be
the only one that knows about a great underground band? Tell us about it. You think a
certain poet hasn't gotten enough recognition? Tell us about him. YOu want to tell
everybody about a film they simply have to see? Tell us about it.
As always, I also want to see and read others art and literature, regardless of purpose
and style. So send me that too. I've a space open here for all...so come on over and share
a little of ourselves with the world.
Beauty is in the eye of
the beholder. So is art.
INQUISITION is an arts/literature webzine which will present
works from a wide range of subject matter and will explore the dialogue and nature of art
through the personal experience of the individual. INQUISITION is for anyone who feels the
urge to ask questions from the universe, for those who do not live in the dark.
