(Click here to return to main page)(Click here for Douglas William Mowbray's poetry)The following poem is one of my own, dated about a year ago.Waiting for the angel to turn(For S.)Pleasant thoughts before the fallAll your fears are set to musicWringing hands which worry choke the soulThe glimpse of an angel whose flight brought this onWaiting for the angel to turn
Everybody's laughter turns out dead at seaEverybody's joy rings out like lies to meAnd everything, you do it flawlesslyI look at you, but I see you do it lovelessly
Humming feelings of this loveAll your pains are set to musicHowling voices whose words burn you wholeThe trail of an angel whose spell brought this onWaiting for the angel to turn
Everybody's cries sound like the silent treesEverybody's lives walk past like ghosts to meAnd everything you do, you do it perfectlyI look at you, but I see you do it soulesslyI'm just waiting for the angel to turnArmando Valle (Nov/97)Armando can be e-mailed at this address:spirinexus@hotmail.com(Click here to return to main page)
