Music forms the heart and soul of many African cultures, with dancing, singing and music created by everyone in the community. As American musicians our aim is to bring some of that community-made music to our performances. Our music conjures up sun, summer and spirit. It's lively, it's fun, it's dance music for the whole family! Come prepared to sing, clap, and dance along with us as we celebrate the vibrant musical traditions of Zimbabwe. |

The Dancing Trees play for parties, weddings, and community events.
We are presently a 7 member band based in Portland, Oregon featuring
five marimbas and percussion. Community organizations in Multnomah
County can apply for funding to hire the Dancing Trees through the
Neighborhood Arts Program (NAP).
