Inksticks

I liked the colorful inksticks,
but they weren't as thin as toothpicks.

They were blue, red, yellow, and green,
so then they could be clearly seen.

The sticks were about three inches tall,
the creators didn't make it as tall as a ball.

Only the fanciest could be used by an emperor,
especially the one's with a color.

On it there is Chinese writing,
I can see it when I'm reading.

You use this tool to write,
not bite.
