On April 11 it finally happened. After weeks of preparation my friend Robin arrived in Holland to start the SICC European tour 1998.
We first went to see Amsterdam. We walked around the city and took a tour in one of the many canalboats.
On Sunday April 12 we went to see some of the windmills of Holland at Kinderdijk. 
We also went to see the tulips at the Keukenhof. After all you can't come to Holland in April and not see any tulips.
On Monday April 13 we took it easy. We looked around in the area where I live. We went to the small museum in de halve maen. (at the half moon) 
This is a museum about old Dutch grocery shops and hats.
Of course Robin had to cuddle my meezer Koos and become best friends with him.
On Tuesday we left for Paris. After a long drive we arrived in the evening. After a short walk and a very expensive coffee we went to bed.
Wednesday we started the serious walking. Unfortunately the weather was not that nice but nothing could stop us from seeing all the beautiful sights. We went to the Eifel tower,
Notre Dame
and all the other famous sites like
Sacre Coeur
and Montmartre
Thursday was a day of traveling as we had to drive to Calais to take the ferry to Dover.
