Hey man this is bkairae21 and welcome to my homepage. im just gonna answer 12 questions one of my mates asked me about Kelston......So sweet as !!!!!! 1. WHAT SPORTS TEAMS DO YOU HAVE AT KELSTON? At Kelston Boys High we have a wide range of sports teams. Our most famous and probrably our top sporting team in our school is the First 15 rugby team. This team has been recognised as the top high school rugby team in the world. There are many other sports teams in the school.ranging from Basketball (Premiere), Cricket (First 11), Soccer , Touch (KoBraHS) and many more. Kelston is well known for there sportsing sucess. 2. DO WE HAVE CULTURAL GROUPS? Yes we do. We have had Niuean, Samoan, Tongan and Maori cultural groups through out the past ten years. But unforunatley this year Kelston only had a Niuean and a Maori group. Kelstons Niuean group for the year 2000 came first overall beating other rival high schools like Auckland Girls Grammer School, Mt. Albert Grammer, and Avondale Collage........CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! 3. HOW MANY GUYS AT KELSTON? There is quite a number of young men that attend Kelston Boys. Kelston Boys High has about 1 200 students that attend the school. 4. DO WE HAVE A SISTER SCHOOL? Yes, Kelston Boys High School does have a sister school. Kelston Girls High School is our sister school and is located just up the road. But inside sources tell me that the young men from Kelston Boys do not get along with the young Girls from Kelston Girls....so there is not that special bond between the two schools. 5. HOW MANY PREFECTS AT YOUR SCHOOL? Well Kelston Boys submits about 24 prefects for the school each year. The top prefect acknowledgements are Head prefect, Deputy Head boy and Sports captain. About 12 to 15 7th form students are selected to become a prefect at the start of the year and another 5 to 6 sellected threw out the year. 6. WHOS YOUR HEADBOY? For the year 2000 the head boy of the school was Tony grubenear. He was a member of the first 11 and first 15 rugby side. 7. WHATS SO SPECIAL ABOUT KELSTON? The special thing about Kelston, is the atmosphere and the competitiveness (on the field) and friendlyness of the students. Everyone got along with each other and everyone would joke around and noone would be left out we all stuck togethor as one big group. But the most special thing that Kelston has to offer, is that pride that all the boys carry when they come to Kelston of maintaing that status of being the best sporting school in New Zealand. 8. WHAT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT FROM YOUR YEARS AT KELSTON? The one thing I remember was all the first 15 games played . These games were allways action packed and allways featuredwonderful and skillful trys. It was allways a pleaseure to watch them. 9. WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU DISLIKED ABOUT KELSTON? I hated the short lunch times and intervals., that sucked. 10. WHO IS THE PRINCIPLE OF THE SCHOOL? The Principle of the school is Steve Watt. 11. IS THERE ANYTHING YOU REGRET NOT DOING AT KELSTON? The thing I regret not doing at Kelston is not listening in class and not doing my best in class so that II could pass. |
