Today is the 43th Zucchero's birthday and the Italian radio stations are broadcasting his new single called Blu.

13th June 1998

Here are some news on the new Zucchero album taken from an interview published by the most important Italian newspapers:

- The title of the new album should be "Puttanesca"
- Its cover could be a big Italian cook with a huge pasta dish
- It will be released on the 26th October
- It will include a song dedicated to his little son Adelmo jr. Blue
- Its sound will be really blues with few instruments (mainly bass, guitar and drums)
- Rumoured guests of the new album are Van Morrison and Bono
- The tour will start in February 1999 and will end on New Year's Eve.
- The single Va' Pensiero was sold in 1 million copies
- In September a special version of Va' Pensiero for the UK market
- On the 5th, 6th and 7th of September Zucchero will play three concerts in the stadium of Paris with the French rockstar Johnny Hallyday.

9th June1998

Zucchero takes part at the Pavarotti International for Children of Liberia. He duets with Big Lucinao on Va Pensiero and performs Menta e Rosmarino.
 

14th January 1998

Zucchero is "dad" for the third time. The name of his first son (he has also two daughters) is Adelmo jr. Blue. Congratulations Sugar!
