On December the 1st Zucchero will play in London during the Red Cross Gala.

Shake is at number one in Italy and Switzerland an has alreday entered the charts in several other countries such as Austria and Belgium... meanwhile it's out now the beautiful book "Musica per viole &... altri organi d'amore" with lots of pictures, lyrics and music of Zucchero. Shake was presented to the World press. Critics are mostly positive (we would say enthusiastic) and some say this is the best Zucchero album of ever.

7th September 2001

The album Shake will be presented on the 9th September. The show case will be broadcast LIVE by the Official Site and Yahoo! Italia at 19.30 Italian time. The second single taken from the album is entitled AHUM.

10th August 2001

According to the Italian newspaper La Stampa the title of the new Zucchero's album will be "Shake" (and not Mojo like we knew before). The album will be presented in Rovigo on the 9th September and released on the 14th September in Italy and on the 17th in Europe. The other countries will have to wait about one month more. The album will have 11 tracks and the participation of some guests (Sting is one of the rumoured names). Zucchero will play 4 promotional concerts between November and December but the World tour will begin in 2002.

According to Musiccontrol, for the second week Baila (sexy thing) is the most broadcast song by the Italian radios. The single will be released all over Europe on the 13th July.

4th July 2001

It's now in the cinemas My Generation, the documentary film about the three Woodstock festivals where you'll be able to see the 1994 Zucchero's performance.

21st June 2001

Today about 200 radio networks broadcast in Italy at 19.30 the new single Baila (sexy thing). It's a great song with Zucchero and his band at their best. An incredible catchy and bluesy tune candidated to be THE SONG of the Summer! If this is the prelude you can imagine the album...

16th June 2001

The new Zucchero single called "Baila (sexy thing)" will be on airplay since 22 June and in the Europeam music stores shops on the 9 July. It will be taken from his new album which will be released in mid September. Zucchero is presently finishing the mix at the Real World Studios in England and will come back to Italy at the end of June.

Zucchero is presently recording the new album which will be ready at the end of June and hopefully in the shops within next Autumn. Stay tuned!

4th March 2001

The young Italian performer Elisa won the 51st Festival of Sanremo with the song Luce (Tramonti a Nord Est) co-written by Zucchero. Second place to Giorgia with an other Zucchero's tune, called Di sole e d'azzurro.
