Bio
Paul began playing guitar "by ear" at the age of 16, but had dabbled with it and the keys as early as age 5. He was always playing games and sports too much to learn any earlier. He began writing songs at the age of 17 and pursued it more heavily during and after college at the Univerity of Cincinnati where he graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He has worked for NASA ever since but has actively pursued music as a hobby hoping for it to become a full-time endeavor. He has been writing and performing his own unique brand of modern music for the last 15 years in two of the Midwest's finest bands. He formed and led The Advocates and WISH and released CDs with each. The songs are pure modern rock, pop, and folk with immediately memorable melodies and lyrics and received airplay on college and commercial radio. Many can be sampled on this website! Each band played in venues and colleges throughout the land and headlined as well as opened for National acts and earned showcases in national music conferences. His songwriting and vocals were critically acclaimed with some of those reviews available on this site.
Recently, he competed for and won the first Northcoast Federal Idol competition singing a variety of cover and original songs encompassing genres from Big Band Swing to Rock against talent from all Federal agencies and 6 States. He is in the midst of recording both a full-length Rock and Alt Country/Folk CDs he hopes to release later this year, so check back to this sight often !
