No Doubt's Ex-Girlfriend video premiered on MTV's Making The Video Monday night and here is what hotboy had to say about it:
"Well, the video begins with Gwen Stefani's character, the ex-girlfriend, recieving some info 007-esque on the character who is the ex-boyfriend from a stranger, No Doubt's guitarist, in a public park. After recieving the info, Gwen proceeds to follow the mission and diguises herself as a man. Meanwhile, she is having flashbacks of her lost love. She then enters the building her ex-boyfriend is in, and with diguise and all, she enters the mens room where the ex-boyfriend are at urinals relieving themselves. Gwen kicks all of their asses, and thinks she has completed her mission. But as Gwen stands in front of a window in the restroom, her ex gets back up, and tackles Gwen through the window. As they are falling down the several storied building, they struggle with each other. and as they are about to hit ground, Gwen lays a kiss on her ex's lips, and thats how it ends. Throughout the video, there are many shots of No Doubt playing in front of a staged audience. Hype uses vivid colors a la Busta's video for "Gimme Some More" which add even more excitement to the story in the video."

Hype Williams's commercial for Revlon has been seen airing this week on television. It aired during prime time on NBC and also on WB. It will probably be airing on other channels as well, as it is part of a huge nationwide campaign. Jason D. describes: "It looks great, but it is very similar to the Busta & Janet video for "What's It Gonna Be." Like Janet, Hype has Cindy Crawford in front of a watery-like background shot from a low angle."

That episode of Making The Video will premiere on MTV on February 7 @ 10:30pm.

Hype Williams's protégé Little X was featured last week on The New Music, a music news show which airs in Canada on CityTV & MuchMusic. Little X actually interned at MuchMusic (Canada's music channel) before going to New York City to draw storyboards for Hype Williams. He drew storyboards for such videos as Missy Elliot's Sock It To Me and R. Kelly's Down Low. He has since started to direct his own videos, including Redman's I'll Be Dat and Canadian rapper Choclair's Let's Ride.
