(December 31, 2001 - January 1, 2002)  YEAR-END REVIEW 2001
As the year comes to a close, it's time to take a look back at the work of Little X in 2001.  2001 turned out to be a big year for Little X, as he made a stronger presence in the music video industry.  Little X directed roughly 17 new videos this year, including notable videos for G-Dep (Let's Get It), R. Kelly (Fiesta remix), Fabolous (Can't Deny It) & Usher (U Got It Bad).  My personal favorites include Let's Get It (G-Dep), Bootylicious (remix) (Destiny's Child), & Can't Deny It (Fabolous).  My least favorite was There It Is (Ginuwine).  As Little X continues to gain more prominence in the music video industry, we can expect to see him work with bigger artists and possibly do some more commercial work in 2002.

(December 7, 2001)   NEW USHER, CHRISTINA MILIAN AND HARPOON MISSILE VIDEOS
Little X is tentatively scheduled to direct new videos for Usher, Christina Milian feat. Ja Rule, and Harpoon Missile (he's directed Usher's and Harpoon Missile's last videos).  For Usher, he will direct the video for his next single You Don't Have To Call.  Althought it hasn't been confirmed yet, the video is likely to be shot like a "musical", and begin shooting sometime in January 2002.  As well, Little X is going to be shooting the new Christina Milian feat. Ja Rule video Get Away.  X is also set to direct the new video by Harpoon Missile for I Try, which also features Melanie Durrant & In Essence.

Little X is in L.A. shooting a new commercial for Ikea, which features Billy Idol (!).

(November 20, 2001)   NEW MOBB DEEP VIDEO PREMIERES | LITTLE X ONLINE INTERVIEW
Little X directed the new Mobb Deep feat. 112 video Hey Luv, which premiered yesterday on BET's 106 & Park.

There is an interview with Little X at whaddat.com, under the Young Entrepreneur section, entitled "Little X: Quiet On The Set".  In the interview (which took place this past summer), he discusses his internship with Hype Williams, the "booty video", his work ethic, and his approach to video directing.

The Little X-directed video for Don't You Forget It by Glenn Lewis premiered this past Friday (Nov. 2) on BET's 106 & Park.  The track is the second single off the Epic Records compilation Red Star Sounds.

(October 24, 2001)   HARPOON MISSILE | GLENN LEWIS | FABOLOUS | LITTLE X ON TV
Tonnes of Little X information coming in.  First of all, the Harpoon Missile video will finally air on MuchMusic this week.  It was reported back in April that Little X shot a video for Canadian rappers Harpoon Missile in their hometown of Brampton, Ontario.  The video is for the track Melbosha, and deals with a little kid who sees monsters under his bed and follows him around during the day.

As reported earlier, Little X appeared on Open Mike with Mike Bullard in Canada earlier this month, and revealed that he had completed shooting a video for Canadian R&B singer Glenn Lewis.  The video is for the track Don't You Forget It.  Little X has also completed another video for Fabolous for his upcoming track Youn'n (Holla Back).  Speaking of Fabolous, you can view a behind-the-scenes clip from the video-shoot of Can't Deny It at MTV.com under the Fabolous artist section.

Little X appeared on BET's 106 & Park (in a taped clip) last Thursday, talking about his video for Usher's U Got It Bad.  He also appeared on The Source All Access this weekend.

(October 7, 2001)   LITTLE X ON "OPEN MIKE WITH MIKE BULLARD"
Toronto-native Little X appeared on the Canadian talk show Open Mike with Mike Bullard which aired this past Friday night.  He talked about his beginnings at MuchMusic, working with people like Puff Daddy, living in New York City, and his new video for upcoming Canadian R&B singer Glenn Lewis.

(September 22, 2001)   NEW USHER VIDEO | JADAKISS VIDEO BEHIND-THE-SCENES | REEBOK IVERSON COMMERCIAL
Little X shot Usher's new video U Got It Bad.  The video, which features a cameo by Usher's real-life love interest Chili from TLC, premiered on BET's 106 & Park earlier this month.

According to the Advertising Age magazine (August 6, 2001; p.8), Little X shot the new Reebok/Footlocker commercial for Allen Iverson's I3 Playoff Low brand of shoes.  The commercial shows a young man fantasizing about becoming his favorite basketball player.  The commercial premiered in mid-August.
