(March 30, 2002)  MORE INFO ON ALICIA KEYS VIDEO
More info has come in about the upcoming Little X-directed Alicia Keys video How Come You Don't Call Me.  The clip starts off with her singing in the house, but soon switches to a live performance shot (earlier reported as being shot last weekend at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles).  As the video switches to the performance shot, the track also changes to the live version of the song.  Another interesting fact is that for the first time, she will reveal her hair without her trademark braids.

(March 4, 2002)  IKEA COMMERCIAL
It was previously reported that Little X shot a commercial for Ikea back in November 2001 which featured rocker Billy Idol.  While searching online for this commercial recently, I discovered that the commercial was made for Ikea in Germany, and had already aired on German television a few months ago (late December 2001/early January 2002).  From what little information I've gotten on German websites (using the Google.com translator feature), the commercial clip somehow involves Billy Idol and hip-hop music (possibly him doing a hip-hop song?  or remaking a popular hip-hop song?).  The theme of the commercial campaign was to mix genres of music.  Another commercial in this campaign involved LL Cool J and country music.  The Billy Idol fansite Interactive Idol mentioned this commercial, and posted a link to the German Ikea website where they had a Quicktime clip of the commercial, but has since been removed from the site.

(March 1, 2002)  CORRECTION ON GLENN LEWIS VIDEO

In a story on MTV.com, it was revealed that Puff Daddy appears in the upcoming Little X-directed video for Usher's You Don't Have To Call. The storyline in the video takes up where his previous video U Got It Bad (also shot by Little X) left off.

"I'm in the house still sobbing," Usher explained. "Diddy hits me on the cell, he tells me, 'We getting out tonight.'"
"Usher dances all through the video," Diddy marveled. "I've never seen that done before."

As mentioned earlier, the video is scheduled to premiere next Tuesday on MTV's Making The Video.

(December 31, 2001 - January 1, 2002)  YEAR-END REVIEW 2001
As the year comes to a close, it's time to take a look back at the work of Little X in 2001.  2001 turned out to be a big year for Little X, as he made a stronger presence in the music video industry.  Little X directed roughly 17 new videos this year, including notable videos for G-Dep (Let's Get It), R. Kelly (Fiesta remix), Fabolous (Can't Deny It) & Usher (U Got It Bad).  My personal favorites include Let's Get It (G-Dep), Bootylicious (remix) (Destiny's Child), & Can't Deny It (Fabolous).  My least favorite was There It Is (Ginuwine).  As Little X continues to gain more prominence in the music video industry, we can expect to see him work with bigger artists and possibly do some more commercial work, in 2002.
