KEVIN LITTLE VIDEO
As mentioned before, Little X directed a video for reggae/dancehall
artist Kevin Little in Toronto in late-August. The video
is for the track Turn Me On, which had already been
released in other parts of the world last year. The Little
X-version of the video is the second video shot for this track (the
original one was shot by Rodney Garraway in 2002). X's version
features a huge crowd of Carnival/Caribana-type party-goers and
masqueraders dancing against a plain red background. The video
is simple, yet effective, in its capturing of the mood of the song and
of the partying atmosphere at such festivals.

NEW R. KELLY & JOE VIDEOS
The second of two R. Kelly videos directed by Little X and a brand new
video for Joe have begun airing on
BET in the past
week. The video for R. Kelly's Step (In The Name of Love)
(remix) was shot by Little X in Chicago this past July.
As mentioned before, the track and video were inspired by the stepping
dance popularized in Chicago. The video features
people dressed in all white on a yacht dancing. The end of the
video shows R. Kelly dressed in all black (and in a Zorro mask)
dancing alone. The video for Joe is for the track
More and More. The video takes place in a mansion, with
Joe singing to his lady. Both videos have aired this past week
on BET's Midnight Love program.

LITTLE X ARTICLE IN TORONTO STAR
An article about Little X appeared in the
Toronto Star
newspaper on August 28, as part of his involvement with the 7th Annual
Toronto Urban Music Festival which ran in late-August in Toronto.
He appeared at the John Spotton Cinema that night (Thursday August 28)
as part of NFB Film Thursdays "In Conversation With Little X" to kick
off the music fest. The article basically sums up his roots in
Toronto, his journey through MuchMusic in the early days, involvement
with Hype Williams, and how he has established himself as one of the
most sought-after music video directors today. He also discusses
the controversy over some of his earlier "booty" videos, and how he
has toned down the use of so-called "booty girls" in his recent
videos.

| BROOKS BUFORD, MELANIE DURRANT, KEVIN LITTLE
The first of two Little X-shot R. Kelly videos premiered last
week. R. Kelly's video for Thoia Thoing
premiered earlier last week on MTV Jams, MTV2, and BET 106 &
Park. The video has a Japanese-inspired theme, with R. Kelly
wearing sports jerseys with the players names spelled out in Japanese
lettering, R. Kelly giving lessons to an all female class at his dojo,
and a futuristic fashion show where the models enter the stage via a
pole. An article on MTV.com
also explains that the 2nd video that X shot for R. Kelly, Step
In The Name of Love (remix), focuses on the stepping dance
that was popularized in Chicago. That video is set to premiere
in a few weeks time.

LITTLE X SHOOTS NEW SEAN PAUL VIDEO IN T.O. |
X INTERVIEWED ON KARDINAL VIDEO SET
Little X shot the latest Sean Paul this past Sunday &
Monday (June 8 & 9) in Toronto. The video for I'm
Still In Love by Sean Paul feat. Sasha was filmed in an
apartment setting for on one day, and at The Guvernment nightclub in
downtown Toronto on the second day.

Little X was interviewed on the Toronto
set of the new Kardinal Offishall video Bellydancer
for Canadian entertainment show E-Talk Daily (on CTV Newsnet) on June
4. The video-shoot took place sometime in
late-May/early-June. The 3-minute segment contained an interview
with X about his career as a music video director and he discussedthe
concept of the current Kardinall video. The video was all about beautiful girls dancing to
Middle Eastern moves and the culture itself is the main objective in the video.
He also mentioned that he currently shot a video similar to that not too long ago (R. Kelly's Snake),
but was trying to take this video to a whole new level. A
similar on-set interview had also aired that week on local cable
channel Rogers Television.

UPCOMING LOON & KELIS; R. KELLY & BIG TIGGER; ELEPHANT MAN
VIDEOS
Been busy the past few weeks, so I haven't updated the site
as often as I'd hoped. Lots of new info to report today.
MTV.com
reports that Little X was set to shoot a new video for How You
Want That by Loon feat. Kelis, the second track off the
upcoming Bad Boys 2 soundtrack. MTV also reports that X shot a
video for Snake by R. Kelly feat. Big Tigger, on
April 30 and May 1 in Los Angeles. The video is themed around R.
Kelly getting stuck in a desert and stumbling across an oasis with
lots of women and slithering reptiles. A commercial airing on BET
advertises an episode of Access Granted airing next week, that
features a behind-the-scenes look at the video. The video
premieres at the end of the show.
Access Granted will premiere this Wednesday (May 14) at 9pm
EST, and re-air May 15 @ 8pm EST & May 17 @ 8pm EST

An article published in mid-April on
The Jamaica Star Online reveals that Little X was to shoot a video for
reggae star Elephant Man's Pon Di River Pon Di Bank in
late-April in Queens, New York. The article states that X's
video would replace the original version of the video shot by local
Jamaican directors. VP Records (home to Elephant Man &
fellow reggae artist Sean paul) is hoping that a Little X-directed
video would help Elephant Man the way X's Give Me The Light
video had helped Sean Paul's career.
