(April 5, 2005) GWEN STEFANI VIDEO PREMIERES
The new Gwen Stefani video Hollaback Girl (directed
by Paul Hunter) premiered early last week on
MTV's Total Request
Live. The video features Gwen and a whole crowd of kids strutting
through a highschool hallway, supermarket aisle, and a football field.
These scenes are intermixed with scenes of Gwen, her entourage of
Harajuku girls, a highschool marching band, and cheerleading squad all
performing and dancing against a plain black set (similar to the one
used in Paul Hunter's Nike Freestyle commercial) Pharell Williams
(who produced the track) makes a quick cameo. Great video.

(March 28, 2005) SNOOP DOGG VIDEO PREMIERES
The new Paul Hunter-directed video
Signs (by Snoop Dogg feat. Justin Timberlake & Charlie Wilson)
premiered this past Wednesday (March 23) on MTV Total Request Live.
The video was shot on March 7-8 in Las Vegas. Possibly the best
Las Vegas-shot video (making full use of the flashy lit casino facades
along the Las Vegas Strip) since 1997's Hype Williams-directed video for
Mase's Feel So Good.

MORE INFO ON SNOOP DOGG VIDEO
Here is more info on the Paul Hunter-shot
video for Signs, for Snoop Dogg feat. Pharrell Williams & Justin

extrasformovies.com, an online casting posting site. The posting
listed that the video was to be shot March 7-8 (this past Monday &
Tuesday) in Las Vegas. The producers were looking for a lead girl,
female extras, and male extras. An interesting note: the
male extras roles were to be for males 40-60 years old, "old mafioso

SNOOP DOGG VIDEO?
MTV.com posted
that Paul Hunter has shot the next video for Gwen Stefani, for
her track Hollaback Girl. Because of the high school
references in the song, the video was shot at a Southern California high
school. In one scene, Gwen drives a yellow sports car with her
entourage of Harajuku girls in tow.

Rumor has it that Paul Hunter may, or has
already, shot the video for the 3rd single off of Snoop Dogg's
album Rhythm & Gangsta: The Masterpiece -- for the track
Signs (featuring Justin Timberlake). Unconfirmed
rumour at this point, but would not be surprising if true, as Paul has
already shot the first two videos off the album: Drop It Like It's
Hot and Let's Get Blown.

2004 Year End Review
Paul Hunter directed only a handful of videos this year. One
that garnered a lot of attention is beautifully shot black & white video
for Snoop Dogg feat. Pharell Williams for Drop It Like It's
Hot. He also directed ones for N.E.R.D. (Maybe),
Mos Def (Sex, Love, and Money), newcomer Van Hunt (Down
Here In Hell), and the most recent Snoop Dogg video
Let's Get Blown. While his video work was scarce, Paul
Hunter spent most of 2004 doing more commercial work: directing
commercial campaigns for over 14 companies including Diet Coke, iPod/HP
(a series of musical "mash up" clips), Nintendo Game Boy Advance,
Samsung, Honda, Nike, Sony, Target (featuring rocker Lenny Kravitz),
Virgin Mobile (featuring a hilarious Busta Rhymes), Gatorade (featuring
LL Cool J), V8, Reebok, Got Milk? and a PSA for Voting. Look for more commercial work
coming from Paul Hunter in 2005, and more higher profile video work.
(it was just announced that Mariah Carey hand-picked Paul to
direct the video for her upcoming comeback single It's Like That
in early 2005)
