June 10 2000
Well summer for me is next week, so then I will update my page a little bit more. As most of you know the Smashing Pumpkins are breaking up at the end of the year. This page will still be up then, but updating will be minimal. I will try to complete and fix my page so its perfect, then I will leave it be.
I saw the Pumpkins the day after the breakup announcement in Berkeley and it was awesome as usual. My review is here.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMY! Cheers to the best drummer in the world.
April 24 2000
It has been a while since I updated my page, sorry. I am going to see SP in concert on 5/24 at Berkely. I am in Row O.  If you want a list of US tour dates go here. SIYL was #2 on the modern rock charts for a few weeks!! Machina, sadly is slipping down the charts. It has gone gold and probably will go platinum, only time will tell.
SP will be on David Letterman on April 26th. They will be on as musical guest. According to Billy Corgan the band will NOT be splitting up. They are working on the unreleased material from Machina for a b-sides album ala 'Pisces Iscariot', but nothing is known at this point. If you want more extensive news that is up to date and updated often, check out Netphoria or SPFC.
If you want info, song files, lyrics, tabs to machina go here.

March 26 2000 Happy birthday to James Iha who turns 32!!! This was slightly eclipsed by Billy turning 33 this month, but I still remembered. Everyone should buy his wonderful solo album. There is a studio version of the song Speed Kills , I'll have it up in awhile in .ram format....Buy the import Stand Inside Your Love single to hear it.

March 17 2000

Concert Review and meeting the band review!!!! here

More news.....D'arcy is has been arrested on charges of possessing cocaine. =( You can read about it here.

The Everlasting Gaze....The new Smashing Pumpkins video is out on Video stations, but has been snuffed by TRL. They did not premier the video for one reason or another.  But it is playing on MTV , MuchMusic, and even VH1. Damn MTV, no wonder I love it so much (grrr).
January 20 2000
Sharon Osbourne has dropped SP from her management, SP has flip-flopped single plans and are releasing 'The Everlasting Gaze', the radio hit, as a video/single first. That is being shot now, and will be on MTV/VH1/M2/MM and other music video stations in mid February.  MACHINA/The Machines of God is being released on February 29th ,despite rumours. I have heard the album ,shhhhhh, and would like to say it is very, very good.  Some of the pumpkins best work is on here...very good, tell everyone to buy it.  There is yet another rumour going around that SP is breaking up after Machina is promoted.....dont get to upset (D'arcy will never be replaced, Jimmy isnt coming back, Rock is dead, blah blah blah). Either someone misunderstood something or Billy's head is not on straight. This rumour has been around before, SP is still alive. We might be seeing a b-sides album soon, no info as of yet though. The Everlasting Gaze is number 6 on the modern rock charts up 2 spots. Pretty good considering it the only song in the top 10 without a video yet.  #1 should be a matter of time! For more info on Machina go here.
January 1 2000

'The Everlasting Gaze', which is the new single was #9 on billboard. Falling short of the crappiest band in existence (korn). Well theres always next week. REQUEST IT!! November 23 1999
An ultra-secret, exclusive listening party for the new Smashing Pumpkins album was held Friday (Nov. 19) evening at the Whiskey Bar in New York City. In attendance were a number of Virgin Records personnel -- most of whom were hearing the finished album for the first time -- and about 15 key modern rock radio programmers, who were flown in specially by the label for the party.
The record "MACHINA/The Machines of God" was handed in to the label earlier in the week, and comes on the heels of 1998’s disappointing Adore set. A source at the party told allstar that the new album definitely rocks harder than the electronica-tinged Adore with "more guitars and more snarling vocals."

The album’s release date is Feb. 29, 2000 (pushed back from its original date of Feb. 15) and the track listing goes as follows:

"Everlasting Gate"
"Sunshowers"
"Stand Inside Your Love" (the first single)
"I Of The Mourning"
"The Sacred + Profane"
"Try"
"Heavy Metal Machine"
"This Time"
"The Imploding Voice"
"Glass + The Ghost Children"
"Wound"
"Crying Tree"
"Blue Skies Bring Tears"
"With Every Light"

November 05 1999
Astonishing and quite depressing news today! The new album has been said to be Desolation according to USA Today! The bad news is that Melissa Auf Der Maur has joined sp.  This really sux.  They could have picked someone better.
The truth is no one can replace D'arcy!

Smashing Pumpkins have found management with the Ozzy family.  Ozzy's wife who also manages coal chamber(blah) and metal legends Black Sabbath and Ozzy himself of course has signed The Pumpkins.  Billy fired the money
grubbing Q-prime last year.
September 24 1999
Hole bassist Melssia Auf Der Maur has left Hole and is pursuing many
goals of hers: like photagraphy, solo project etc.  Word has it she might
be doing work with the pumpkins.  She will NOT be a member though.  She will
have the Matt Walker & Kenny Aranoff benefit of touring probably.
September 20 1999
Billy and James are playing at the Bridge School Benefit with bands

July 30 1999
The new untitled Smashing Pumpkins Album has been pushed back to February 2000.
SP has been working with Flood in Chicago non-stop.  The new album is being worked on as much as possible for the pumpkins to get as a result to continue there reign and possibly gain higher status than previous!
July 27 1999The long-awaited soundtrack to Stigmata finally has a confirmed track listing, with 10 tracks composed by Billy Corgan leading the way. All but seven songs on the album were scored by the Smashing Pumpkins frontman (along with composer-jazz artist Mike Garson) -- his first major foray into music scoring
(allstar, May 11).    In addition to previously confirmed tracks by
Massive Attack ("Inertia Creeps"), Remy Zero ("Gramarye"),
Remy Zero is an very awesome band, and "Gramarye" is one of my favs(Get Villa Elaine)
Chumbawamba ("Mary Mary"), David Bowie ("The Pretty Things Are Going to Hell"), and the Afro Celt Sound System featuring Sinead O'Connor
("Release"), Natalie Imbruglia has added a Corgan-penned
track, "Identify," to the album's lineup.

ALBUM NEWS
we've been pestering the band ceaselessly for an update,
and we finally have one for you. the good news is the
new record is now  more than 60% completed,
with approximately 21 songs still being considered
along with a few select instrumentals. 11 of the songs
you might recognize from the arising! tour, and 10 more
additional songs that have yet to be played live by the
band. the pumpkins hope to be finished in the first couple
weeks of august, and are still planning a late fall release.
and contrary to published rumours that the record is a
return to the band's older styles, we ask and gently remind,
when have the smashing pumpkins ever repeated themselves?
