Introduction

Hi, I'm Serene Dominic and welcome to my "Psychedelic Skeleton In the Closet" page. Possibly the most cataclysmic event to befall rock stars of the late Fifties and early Sixties besides the British Invasion was the proliferation of drug counterculture music. Nearly all of yesterday's heroes from Elvis to the Four Seasons to the early British Invaders themselves has at least one ghastly track that had way too many sitars and cringe-inspiring social commentary masquerading as lyrics.

We'll uncover stars who made paisley pinatas of themselves, recover rare unknown gems by artists not readily known for their trippiness and examine under the ultra-violet light cringers by those who were supposed to be at home with that idiom. So turn off your mind, relapse and spawn downstream...or something like that.
