My girlfriend & I went to see them on the 27th Dec. 1999 and honestly, she was better than ever. We took loads of photos of her and all of them turned out brilliantly. We thoroughly enjoyed it and we did last December aswell. Congratulations to them We love Heather.

Philipe (phmsf@befree.co.uk) - July 10, 1999

hi all mpeople fans out there, the web site is brill! i have just got tickets for the exeter show on dec 28 1999, can't wait, i'm coming all the way from brighton, why is there no london date? heather is a babe but i prefer the old big hair! Walkaway from Bizzare Friut should be releaesd and fantasy island should be re-released in december! P.s please say there'll be a video from the best of tour!
Andrew Ericson (ericand@worthing.ac.uk) - July 5, 1999

I bought 'Fresco' when I was in Japan this last summer and I have found it to be a wonderful collection that shows M People's maturity, growth and talent as artists. Everyone that I have had listen to it, has raved about it.
Adrian (amooreperiod@yahoo.com) - May 5, 1999

All m people fans should ask the record company to release a video of one of m peoples best of concerts. For all the fans who went it was quite simply excellent.
Anonymous - May 5, 1999

I would just like to say that M People are the best band of this decade. when i feel depressed i just listen to their music and get an instant buzz. i hope they continue producing music for many more years. however i think that they need to edge back towards Bizzare Fruit becuase i don't think that Fresco was appreciated for what it really was.
Gareth Wilson (spangler@x-stream.co.uk) - April 10, 1999

Just wanted to say that this is a fantastic site! It's so refreshing to find so many devoted M People fans. But is anyone else a bit miffed that the band are taking such a long break? What are the chances of them releasing "What A Fool Believes" or even re-releasing the classic "Colour My Life"? We can't wait forever!
Steven - April 8, 1999

Just want to say that this is a great site! It's so refreshing to find so many devoted fans. Can't wait for the new album, although I hope there'll be more funky numbers on there after the somewhat sombre, over-polished feel exuded by Fresco. What do others think about recent M People output?
Anonymous - April 7, 1999

Hi, the M-people site is very interseting
Sean McPoland (smcpoland@hotmail.com) - April 3, 1999

img2000@email.com - February 3, 1999

i really hope that a video of the Best Of tour is released very soon. plus Heather was fantastic on the National Lottery show recently.
ed - February 2, 1999

Hi, Mpeople appeared on The National Lottery program on Sat. 30/01/99 in the UK. Heather, as usual, looked and sounded great and wasn't fazed when her microphone failed to work at the start of "Dreaming". A swift footed floor manager ran on with a replacement and she continued unabashed.
Bill (wstewart@NILDRAM.CO.UK) - February 1, 1999

I just wanted to say that I got the "Best of Remixed" double vinyl...great stuff...also the "Dreaming" white label advanced promo containing Jimmy Gomez mix and dub...Fantastic! Still can't find any of the videos anywhere..NYC etc...tried tons of places....that rather upsets me!
Gene (phage@usaor.net) - January 30, 1999

Great M People discography.
malder@camtech.net.au - January 20, 1999

Imagine my surprise when I heard "Lonely" - it's almost note for note lifted from Pat Kelley's "How long will it take", released on the Gas label in about 1969, the first single I ever bought. Has anyone else made this connection?
Larry Clarke (larry.clarke@dfee.gov.uk) - January 17, 1999

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THIS IS THE BEST SITE I HAVE BEEN TO. I HAVE BEEN AN M-PEOPLE FOR SOME SIX YEARS AND HAVE BEEN TO MANY CONCERTS AND CONVERTED MANY OF MY FRIENDS WHO SAID THERE WAS NO WAY THEY COULD PERFORM THE MUSIC LIVE AND THEY HAVE COME OUT OF THE CONCERT WITH A CHANGED OPINION I'D JUST LIKE TO SAY KEEP IT UP GUYS THE MUSIC SPEAKS FOR ITSELF

Jonathan (Joe_BoydCab@Hotmail.Com) - January 5, 1999

i went to see m people at the nec on the 11 dec and a gain on the 14, i managed to get front standing tickets both times. Myself and my mate were having a mad time shouting to heather it was the best show i have ever seen!. to top it all after the show heather requested that she would like to see us both and we were escorted backstage!, i could not beleive it, she is the most amazing woman i have ever met and i cant wait to see the group in the near future.
carl - January 5, 1999

Lynden & Heathers performance of Don't Look Any Further at Wembley was fantastic I would wet myself if M People release a video of their Best of Tour as it was the best concert I have ever been to. When Heather started shaking toItchycoo Park me and my mates went mad. Please release a new video like Come Again with the whole Best of Concert and the Promos to Just For You, Fantasy Island, Angel Street, Testify and Dreaming. It may sound a lot to ask but IT'S WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT
A.LINSELL - December 26, 1998

Last Wednesday, I went to the M.People concert at Wembley Arena, they were absolutely amazing and they blew my mind and was not expecting to dance so much, I was exhausted and I had never before then been to a concert. But I'm sure glad I went and it's been a long time coming since last year and the year before I had major exams which clashed with the concerts but was worth the wait.
AkintadeE (AkintadeE@dulwich.org.uk) - December 18, 1998

We saw M People in Paris on May 2nd 1994. It was at the Elysee Mon Martre, fantastic show and had a cup of tea with Heather.

I have been to see M people last night and it was a fantastic experience, in my opinion much better than last year, and it was great that they did walk away, My favourite song. Linden David Hall wasn't bad either

I have been following your page for sometime! Great!
Gene (phage@usaor.net) - November 30, 1998

I've seen m people 3 times. I will see them for the forth time on the 19th of december (1998). They a quite simply a classic band. Their music has many different elements to it. The most pleasing for me is that they (especially Heather) is a true inspiration - with their self confidence and idependence. Other fans please email me. Cannot wait for the concert.
Marc (M.Whalley@sociology.ac.uk) - November 30, 1998

mpeople have to be the greatest band in the world!!!!!! their music is the most colourfull extravigant i have ever heard, and ever will.
i went to their concert in exeter on the 25th November; it was an experience i will never forget. after liking and then loving them for 4 years, the ecitment and euphoria of being in the same room, close to them was amazing. to hear heather's voice, to see the groves of the band - it was just amazing. i think i'm in love.
mpeople: you are; music
Brendan Lane (netcrawler_98_forever@yahoo.com) - November 28, 1998

14/11/98. What a great package The Best Of M People is ! The 3 new songs are brilliant and 'What a fool believes' has GOT to be a single. See you all December 4 in Brighton !
Dirk Patoor (dpbvw@skynet.be) - November 14, 1998

Hi, I am from Greece, but for the past 4 years I've been living in MASS, USA. It's so sad to see that NOBODY really knows M People here, except that a few people have heard of the song "Moving on up"... US MTV is terrible. They never play dance music... So I miss seing M People on T.V. Their new album isn't even released in the US yet. BUT I am very happy I found this site, cause now I'll know the latest news about them, or I can see some info on them on the web (here).
Also this site is very well done.

Sakis Pavlakakis (spgr@rocketmail.com) - September 11, 1998

your web-site is great
derek (derek@london.virgin.net) - September 9, 1998

Hey..this is a nice layout and stuff, but I don't quite understand everyuthing. Okay, bye.
Andrea (tickles13@netscape.net) - August 11, 1998

you must have the best ever mpeople site on the planet! I have searched high and low for mpeople sites, and only came across the official one - where are all the others?
Anyhow, after reading your site, i feel i have missed out on so much. i am 15, and i first heard of mpeople 5 years ago, but only really got into them about 2 years ago. even then, i didn't exactly have the income to go and buy thier albums and keep track with them. i had what i thought were most of their albums, and all of their singles from fresco. but i've seen how much they realsed before, and i am desperate to get my hands on it! does anyone know where i can, or even if they still produce some of those cds?
still, mpeople are the best group ever. heather is so beautiful, and has the most heavenly voice. she is so energetic and heartfelt, and always puts everything into her performances. shovel, mike and paul are the most talented musicians that i have ever heard, their styles covering every aspect of life possible.
mpeople: you are music

brendan (Stugi@global.net.uk) - August 11, 1998

Torb, this is the best M. People website to be found on the internet and is even better than the official one because it's so full of information ... Keep up the good work!!!!
Ebun Akintade - July 23, 1998

I just ran into M People "by accident". Last year when I left DIGITAL, after 21 years of employment, and in my [very early!] 50's. My [much younger!] secretary asked me what kind of music I liked.
"I like anything that's good! Just take something that is hefty, sexy and melodious..."
That's how M People were gifted into my life, starting with "Bizarre Fruit". Now I'm chasing Fruit II to get my collection more-or-less complete.
A special reason perhaps that I like M People so much lies in the fact my hearing ability above 4000 Hz has completely disappeared 10 years ago. The strong Shovel rythm, low-voice of Heather compensate a lot. Looking forward, one-day, anywhere, to attend a live appearance.
Please keep up the good work!

Rob Stoekenbroek (stoekenbroek@openit.demon.nl) - July 21, 1998

a website about a couch... interesting... i find that it is informing and strange.. well... i thank you for exposing me to this site... i have never seen one quite like it...
Thanks,
-Lord Charles

spam (smythe@harveygs.kent.sch.uk) - May 13, 1998

mundo de fantasias y ensoņasiones es mi vida, un jardin de flores, laureada de canciones, y acento tan profundo, iluminada mi existencia, con la presencia de dios, mi espiritu sincero, radiante como el soplo divino de un lucero.
andres paz (pillincito@lettera.net) - May 12, 1998

First off, I'd like to say that you have THE BEST website dedicated to M People. Keep up the good work. I have to tell you all how disappointed I am at the record labels here in the US. I've been checking your site for months now to see when they would release the Fresco CD here in the states. I've e-mailed Deconstruction, getting a reply that they no longer carry M People to check with Sony. I e-mailed Sony, with no reply. I've also e-mailed Epic, again with no reply. I'm deeply saddened by the fact that Sony/Epic can't keep us more informed on what's going to happen. Another problem with Sony/Epic is they can't, or don't, update the site for those of us who enjoy M People. I guess I'm just a very lucky person to have friends all over the world, I have a few of them looking for Fresco in the UK, and hope to soon have it here in my hands. I've been a major M People fan since I first heard "How can I love you more", and that's been many years ago. Every CD!
I can get ahold of by this wonderful group, I snatch up in about half a second. Heather Small has the voice of an angel, very distinct, and all it take is one note from this songbird to get my heart jumping. Mike Pickering, Paul Heard and Shovell make music that compliments the voice of Heather Small, together they take you to new heights in emotion and thought. I just want to tell the gang to keep up the good work, and tell the guys/girls at Sony/Epic to get their act together and promote you more in the US.
B4 (b4mytyme@unforgettable.com) - May 06, 1998

m-people? highly enjoyable and top quality in their generation..
gemcia (gemcia@superonline.com) - May 4, 1998

This is a fascinatingly delightful site! I am so glad I found it. M People is big in Canada, but not as big as I think they deserve to become. I always wondered why some tracks overlapped on my UK CD NORTHERN SOUL and my Canadian CD ELEGANT SLUMMING. Now all I need are both original UK CDs of the first album as well as the UK E.SLUMMING, cuz they each have unreleased (in North America) tracks. Any help here? Still in print?
I love the video clips too--no videos have been aired in Canada off Fresco yet since the album is not even out here. I had to buy a UK import, and will surely buy it again if it's reissued as FANTASY ISLAND in the summer. RSVP and thanks for all the work in a fabulous site!
Craig Rowland (craig.rowland@city.mississauga.on.ca) - April 22, 1998

I heard "Just For You" from fresco while I was getting my hair cut in atlanta last week and have finally found a copy (at Tower Records). I don't love dance music, but I DO love that single. So inspiring.
Anne Montgomery (AFM3360@aol.com) - April 21, 1998

Thought your show on Later With Jools was brilliant, many thanks and best luck for your future hits
Carol (Abotterill@compuserve.com) - April 16, 1998

Great site!!
Michelle Penny (the_pennys@lineone.net) - March 8, 1998

The friendly folks from FedEx delivered FRESCO today. I must say that Heather's voice gets stronger and shows more depth in each outing. With the sole exception of "Believe It" which sounds like something they just tossed off, the album is nearly flawless. "Just For You" is gorgeous and sensual. The sound of the music, harmonies and Heather's voice is like opening your windows after a spring rain: all lush and sweet to the senses. What I enjoy most is that M People is an actual BAND, not a studio group with some bozo twiddling knobs and playing a bank of synthesisers. Real horns, real instruments, real vocals, real music and real good. I just hope that one day the rest of the world gets away from Spice Girls/Puff Daddy hype and back into MUSIC. If they do M People and FRESCO would make a great place to begin.
Jeff Winbush (zebop@netexp.net) - March 5, 1998

congratulations, your page looks great!!!
2068291@campus.uab.es - February 25, 1998

Hello,mr.Ivarsson! I'm deeply impressed by your titanic work on M People.
Arcady Jam (europa@karelia.ru) - February 22, 1998

Hi there M-fans. I finally got my hands on the "Fantasy Island" single and MY GOD it just blows me away!!! If there ever was a time I wished I lived or could visit England it's now. I'd love to see this group live. [snip, snip] I think your website is better than the official M People site. I've bookmarked this page and will be checking back for the latest news. Thanks for your time.
Jeff Winbush (zebop@netexp.net) - February 20, 1998

I would like to give my compliments on your great elegant sofa. It's always nice to find
some information on m-people. I'm going to see m-people in Brussel in april. Thanks for
the tour-guide, otherwise I might have missed the tour.
Roel Wikkers (R.B.T.Wikkers@kub.nl) - February 19, 1998

Hello!
I read in a newspaper this morning that MPeople have canceled the two concerts here in
Portugal. Is that true? If it is I think that the band has lost a FAN. That's not fair you know...
Francisco Raposo (fraposo@mail.telepac.pt) - February 15, 1998

Became an M People fan while working in Nigeria for the past three months. Have two of their C-Ds and am anxiously awaiting Fresco. Keep up the good work.

Andrea - December 10, 1997

Magnificent in Aberdeen!
Andrew Ronald (alronald@abdn.ac.uk) - December 7, 1997

The concert last Friday in Wembley was absolutely smashing ! The climax for me was 'One night in heaven', 'Sight for sore eyes', 'How can I love you more', 'Exited', 'Fantasy Island' and 'Just for you' when at the end, after a short silence, the song resumed and sort of exploded ! Heather was in great shape and she looked very sexy in her purple dress. Any plans yet for a tour on the continent ? There's a welcome mat at the centre of Brussels !
Dirk Patoor (dpbvw@skynet.be) - December 3, 1997

I really like your website.
Gerard Villongco (gvillong@JCS1.JCSTATE.EDU) - December 2, 1997

Just a quick word to say that the Elegant Sofa is a terrific site, far more informative than the official one.
Dirk Patoor (dpbvw@skynet.be) - December 2, 1997

The gig in Bournemouth last saturday night was fantastic and Heather was in graet form, Last Night 10,000 was preformed brilliantly but it is a shame that the best track on Fresco (smile) was left out.
Robin Elford (elford@digicon-egr.co.uk) - November 25, 1997

The show in Exeter sounds fabulous. Any other info on the gigs so far?
Hope to see you all next Friday at Wembley and the following Thursday at the SECC....
Joe Butler (j.s.butler@sms.ed.ac.uk) - November 21, 1997

Hi,
Last night I saw M People on the first night of their UK tour, here in Exeter.
Ive press reviews today in local papers, and talked to people who also went.
There is only one opinion - Absolutely brilliant, the best by far
Simon Boatman (simonboatman@mcmail.com) - November 19, 1997

I love M People!
The first touch with M People's songs was with Search For The Hero and Open Your Heart! As I simply loved these songs I decided to bought all the albums.
I just bought Fresco! I'm listening to it now... It's M People, no doubt
(My english is bad because I'm portuguese)
Antonio Soares (i940732@dei.isep.ipp.pt) - October 29, 1997

I think Heather Small is a big diva ! I don't know if she's a gay icon or not, but she's certainly mine !
Simon Fox (simonf@impressions-gallery.com) - October 18, 1997

M People are brilliant and thanks to these pages.
