Hi! Welcome to my homepage!

Page devoted to the

Early Period

This period represents the early works of the Alan Parsons Project. Taking orchestral rock to new extremes of beauty and complexity, The Project (Alan Parsons + Eric Woolfson + great singers + orchestras) produced several remarkable "pop/rock" songs, as well as impressive albums, most of these songs can be found on The Definitive Collection.

Early albums

Tales of Mystery & Imagination · I Robot · Pyramid · Eve · The Turn Of A Friendly Card

Tales of Mystery & Imagination     (1976)

With the exception of "The Tell-Tale Heart," every single song on this cd is magnificent!

I Robot     (1977)

A thoroughly impressive compact disc from beginning to end! I especially enjoyed: "Some Other Time," "Breakdown," "Day After Day," "Don't Let It Show," "I Robot" and "Genesis Ch.1 V. 32!"

Pyramid     (1978)

I just received it! What is there to think about it? I sincerely believe that this recording is in all probability, The Alan Parsons Project's best studio album. Beginning with the instrumental "Voyager" through "Shadow Of A Lonely Man," this cd seems to be impressive throughout! Highlights, include: "Voyager," "What Goes Up...," "The Eagle Will Rise Again," "Can't Take It With You," "In The Lap Of The Gods," "Pyramania" and "Hyper-Gamma-Spaces." I will add more relevant information about this recording at a later date!

Eve     (1979)

This cd contains: "Lucifer," "Damned If I Do" and "If I Could Change Your Mind," which are all masterpieces! I will write a more complete review after I have listened to it about 6 times.

The Turn Of A Friendly Card     (1980)

Of the earlier albums, I am most familiar with The Turn Of A Friendly Card. Masterpieces on this cd, include: "The Turn Of A Friendly Card Parts I & II," "Time," "Games People Play," "The Gold Bug," "May Be A Price To Pay," "Ace Of Swords," "Snake Eyes" and "Nothing Left To Lose." Actually, the entire cd is fantastic, I can not think of any substandard songs!
