Alan Parsons was the Engineer behind Pink Floyd's landmark album Dark Side Of the Moon. In 1975,Eric Woolfson and he put together The Alan Parsons Project. This project, employing the use of orchestral textures to art rock music, created several very impressive albums. The project utilized different lead vocalists for many songs! I first started listening to The Alan Parsons Project back in late 1980, when one of my first purchases was: The Turn Of A Friendly Card. Since that time, I have started to collect some of their other albums. However, On Air and The Definitive Collection (a 2 disc compilation), were three of the most impressive cds that I have ever heard! Additionally, Alan Parsons hired a variety of outstanding vocalists who sang their songs, including: Colin Blunstone, Lenny Zakatek, Dean Ford, Leonard Whiting, John Miles, Chris Rainbow, David Paton, Dave Townsend, Chris Thompson, Allan Clarke, Jack Harris, Elmer Gantry, Geoff Barradale, Lesley Duncan and of course: long-time co-collaborator Eric Woolfson. More specific information can be found at The Definitive Collection
