It all started long ago in a place called University where three young innocent men were finding out about life as bums, when thay had an idea on their way to the bar , between classes , "We should start a band" they said, and they all agreed.

A year later when two of the three had left and were finding out about life as bums, one of the two said to the other, " What ever happened to that band thing" the reply was a quizzical look and a grunt. So they decided that they needed to add a drum kit to their garage. Thus, the formation of
Unless, a bass guitar and drums flaying away noisily for endless hours on lazy weekends.
Eventually, they grew bored and decided they needed someone to tell them stories at night. So, they asked another young friend, who happened to be known to
Unless via the trauma of a phenomenon called high school, and who had also left University to find out about life as a bum.
For months the trio performed amazing feats of violent yet melodic noise pollution to the residents of an un-disclosed (due to legal reasons) suburb of western Sydney, when they decided, 'drum and bass isn't the future',we need to expand our sound.
So, one of the trio remembered a human who also suffered at the hands of the phenomena we have now come to know as high school and another so called human, the third way back when. And they were invited to what is called in the business, a JAM (or what they called a combined noise event).
After this CNE the group decided that they would continue as a 5-piece, but that wasn't to last much longer. Due to the unreliability of one, they were now a 4-piece. Then, the other decided that practice made perfect and vowed, Arnie style to "be back".
They were a trio again.
By this time many names had passed by including
Unless, Section 8 and Clone. Many more months of incessant noise passed by until Arnie returned. By now a name had been chosen, Clone be thy name.
Weeks pass, well two anyway, and they play their first ever public gig.

Picture this, it's Friday the 13th and out of the low level noise of everyday suburbia comes a thrashing, crazy, cacophony of noise, an hour later a band starts playing their gloriously melodic pop/punk.
Well not really, the noise was a big V8 MAHA car and the band played a loose noisy but energetic set and all were happy.
