OFFICIAL BIO

The history of RESURRECTURIS is one of tenacity, strenght and love of extreme music... Born from an idea of Carlo Strappa (rhythmic guitar) and Gianluca Bassi (bass) in 1990, the band has survived a 8 years ordeal made of painful line up hassles, members fucking their minds on drugs, ground-shacking demo tapes and ear-damaging live shows, slowly growing into one of the most critically acclaimed in the world unsigned bands from Italy.

Since the release of 1995's debut demo, "No Flesh Shall Be Spared" (1200 copies sold), RESURRECTURIS has collected brillant reactions from nearly everyone in the underground press.

The excitement surrounding the band decupled when the right line up was finally found with the arrival of the talented Janos Murri on lead guitar and the tortured vocal onslaught of Jerry Di Tullio. The sheer brutality of the successful 1996 demo, "Evil Confronting Evil", took the world by storm: once again hundreds of copies were sold and a re-release on mcd was licensed to Wild Rags Rds.

After reading an impressive review on the band, renamed noise/metal producer David Lenci (Uzeda, Aydra, Three Second Kiss...) offered RESURRECTURIS to work with him. In early 1997 the band entered SoundMachine Studio and recorded "Corpses", a promo tape to be circulated among labels and magazines only. Response to this last tape was phenomenal, the band was elected demo-band of the month in many mags and started receiving offers for a full lenght cd.

Compilation cd's and the release of a split 7" helped to keep the band's name on the surface during this period of time until freshly born dutch label, DIAMOND RDS, offered a deal that fulfilled the band's expectations.

The recording, mixing and mastering of "Nocturnal" took ages to complete, but now there you have it: 10 songs covering a wide range of musical styles from thrash to melodic death, from grindcore to dark/gothic, the whole thing performed with a very personal killer edge. David Lenci's production is as powerful and clear as never before, brutality and melody bend togheter in perfect balance. Female guest vocalist, Gloria, offers a stunning performance further widening the band's musical horizons. The artwork features an original and impressive painting by band's own Jerry, who captured the essence behind the world of RESURRECTURIS.
