It's the rules, A.K.A. the bitchlist!

• NEVER EVER FORGET to put either U2, U@ trade, or bootleg trade into your email subjectline if we've never traded before. I'm being spammed to death and have spam filters on. Unles you are on my safe list anything without a subjectline might get send to the spam box or deleted by me, cause I tend to distrust emails from unknowns who don't use subject lines.
• Use brand discs. In the past I didn't mind but nowadays I have to upgrade some of my older discs with. As a saying goes in my country, 'to buy cheaply will cost you.' I will use TDK or Philips. I don't necessarily demand the same brands in return, as long as its a recognizable and well known brand I'm happy.
• I don't sell.
• I don't do 2:1 trades, unless you have something that's on my most wanted list.
• No track at once recording. I don't need them pesky 2 seconds silence. Disc at once only!!!!!
• If this will be our first trade and you have contacted me, I insist that you send me your CD's first. Upon receival and inspection I'll send my part of the bargain. For the next trade there will be no such restriction and we'll send simultaniously. I have been ripped off to many times and there are some shady charcters out there. If I have contacted you for the trade you can insist on the same deal. Fair is fair!
• Always listen to your burned CD's for faults. You never know what crops up. I always do. It is sometimes the only time that I ever hear my own bootlegs. (pretty sad, uh!)
• If trading artwork, please make color copies of the front and back art and don't forget the little sides. I know this excellent copyshop which will cost me extra, so if you do the same it sure would be appreciated.
• I am not that choosy about what brand of CD-r you use. As long as its a recognizable brand. I'll will to. If you want a specific brand let me know and I'll see whats around.
• There a tendency to trade without jewelcases. I see the advantages in that practice so unless you like your jewelcases, you will not get any. Most people put a 2 CD show in one of those paper envelopes, I don't mind that, but please put a little piece of paper between them. Twice I have received CD's that stuck to eachother and from which the topsides peeled of when removed from one another.
• Please, not under any condition, or no matter how good you think the quality is, no stickers or writing on top of the CDR. Even if you show me hundreds of reports that it is safe, I still, and will ever think that the glue or ink will corrode the vulnerable topside and thus the music. You can write in the clear plastic part in the center as I do or use one of those yellow memory slips.

• No used tapes, I've had some bad experiences with those, mainly resulting in hearing the previous music through the U2 show. It don't sound nice!!!.
• I do not trade a CD for a tape, I use another rule. Anything under 80 minutes is worth 1 CD, anything longer qualifies for 2 CD's.
• Go to FLOM. If your concert is there, don't bother. Then again if the FLOM reviewed show is incomplete and you have the complete stuff, by all means proceed. If your tape is not listed in FLOM, LET'S BY ALL MEANS TRADE!!!
• I always copy on CDR. I can get them little discs cheaper then cassettes, so why should I bother with tapes. In the case of tapetrading I don't supply artwork nor jewelcases. I put them in special CD envelopes, Protect them with cardboard and then in a padded envelope. By the way, I prefer to get type II cassettes.
• If the song don't fit, you must aquit! Actually you start again at the other side. IMPORTANT!!! If you start again at the other side, please put 5 seconds before the tape ended on the previous side. This will enable me to make a perfect fit during editing.
• Use paddes envelopes.
• Don't send the boxes with tapes. They always seem to break and I don't send you any in return anyway. Keep the liners but sneak in a small piece of paper with place, dates and setlists. Here at Skunkworks we use day-month-year by the way.
• If you are taping multiple concerts NEVER put 2 shows on one side. Case study: you are taping show X and after the last song and the final audience cheers you have some 15 minutes of tape left. NEVER put parts of show Y and/or Z there. Start again, use the other side, a new tape, fill it with bonustracks if you care, but don't put 2 shows on the same side. Everybody's got to have a pet peeve and this is mine. I sure would appreciate it.
• No boombox recording, but no whisper mode either. I need something that I can burn.
• No highspeed dubbing. I don't know why, I could never hear it, but this seems to be a bootlegging commandment.
• Listen to your recording, you might discover that something has gone wrong. You never know!
