Two virgins |
Released in 1968, Two virgins is the first experimental work John and Yoko did at late 60's. A very polimical piece of work, because of the famous cover, showing John and Yoko naked. Conceptually, it is a high elaborated and wonderful work of art. Despite most people are not able to understand what it's about, this record remains remarkable to this day.

Wedding Album |
The original Wedding album was released in 1969, after John and Yoko got married and started making na worldwide campaing for peace, which, as we know, had a deep and permanent influence on our conceptions concerning peace. Until the early seventies, it might have been still common to find people acepting wars, but after John & Yoko to defend peace is a basic rule for the good, common sense.
The album itself brought two tracks: an experimental John & Yoko and an interview. The 1997 CD reissue adds three bonus tracks. The booklet is very interesting!
On the last years hisotry has been making justice to Yoko. After being hated for several years by most of the Beatles' fans, Yoko is finally being being mroe respected and recognized as the great artist and songwriter that she is.
CONTENTS:
John & Yoko - Amsterdam
Bonus tracks: Who has seen the wind - Listen the snow is falling - Don't worry Kyoko
Live peace in Toronto |
In 1969, John was invited to play on a festival in Toronto. Legend says that there was no time to gather the Beatles, so he invited Alan White, Eric Clapton and Klaus Voorman. It's said that they only rehearsed in the plane, on their way to Canada. The opening stars were John's heroes Jerry lee Lewis, Little Richard and Chuck Berry. John's performace was released in this superb live LP.

Sometime in New York City |
Released in 1972. The polemical parody newspaper cover and the strongly political lyrics made this album a very important one, both in John's life and career. The double album doesn't bring any hits but 'Woman is the nigger of the world', but it contains important material, like John and Yoko's show with Frank Zappa, some recordings form the Super Plastic Ono band, featuring George Harrison. Besides John's always superb work, this record shows that yoko, if not a good singer, is a fantastic songwriter

Released in 1980, this astonishing record marks the returning of John Lennon to the top of the pop charts, after 5 years of house living. Unfortunately, destiny made other plans,

Milk and honey |
John had prepared a new album for release in 1981. It was in post production stage and it was a follow up to 'Double fantasy'. This unfinished record was released in 1983, lacking the overdubbs John would probably add. Evrytime I hear it, those lacking backing vocals and orchestration keep playing inside my head! John just put it on word like nobody else hs done: 'Nodoby told that would be days strange like these. Strange days, indeed'.

Wonsaponatime |
In 1998, Yoko decided to do what everybody had been cross-fingered expecting for years: release unhear material by John! This decision is clearly inspirated by the sucess of the bootleg series "Lost Lennon Tapes", and the result is of course superb. The tracks were remastered, remixed and sound really good. One of the highlights for me is the new version of "Grow old with me", orchestrated by George Martin.
