With the exception of Ladd, all the members of Hedgehoppers Anonymous were members of the RAF - hence the groups' name - a reference to low-flying..

They formed in 1963 as The Trendsetters, and became The Hedgehoppers the following year. Jonathan King began to manage them in '65 and it was he who added "Anonymous" to their name.

They had a major success with the King - produced "It's Good News Week". They obtained release from the Air Force and carried on producing records, but never managed to repeat their success and they disbanded at the end of '66.
